Alright, so I wanna talk about this guy, George Bryan IV. I did some digging around today, and it was a bit of a wild goose chase, I gotta say.
I started off just plugging his name into a search engine. First few results were all about some funeral service for a George Bryan Carney. Apparently, this guy passed away recently, in April 2024, at 51. Fenton, Michigan. They’re holding a service at some place called Sharp Funeral Homes. Sounds pretty somber, but that’s not the George Bryan I was looking for.
Then, there was something about a George who caddied for someone’s first Korn Ferry Tour victory in Louisiana. This was also in March, and it mentioned a sister named MC. Intriguing, maybe a relative? But still not the right track.
Next, I stumbled upon a bunch of these “Find a Grave” entries. One was for a George Milton Bryan, born in 1908, died in 1984. Another one, a Bryan George Beaman. Honestly, it felt like I was going down a rabbit hole of dead ends, or rather, dead people. Nope, definitely not the guy I’m after.
Then, I tried a different approach. I looked up contact info for anyone named George Bryan. There’s a whole bunch of them all over the US – Florida, Texas, North Carolina, you name it. I didn’t bother calling any of them, though. Seemed like a long shot.
Another result popped up for a George B. Silva in Clovis, California. Phone number and everything. But again, what are the odds this is the George Bryan IV I’m looking for? Slim to none, I’d say.
I even found some real estate listing for a house in St. George. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1442 square feet. I have no idea how that even related, but the internet works in mysterious ways, I guess.
Finally, there was a mention of a George Bryan who was Vice President of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania way back in 1778. He apparently became President of it, which is like being governor. Interesting historical tidbit, but definitely not my guy. This George Bryan is ancient history!
So, after all that, I still don’t know who this George Bryan IV is. It’s like he’s a ghost or something. I guess my search continues another day.
