Alright, so, I saw a bunch of folks online talking about making their own perfumes based on “Genshin Impact” characters. Sounds pretty cool, right? I mean, who wouldn’t want to smell like their favorite waifu or husbando? So, I got all excited and decided to give it a shot myself. I’m no perfumer, but hey, how hard could it be?

First thing I did was hit up the internet for some basic perfume-making info. Turns out, you need some base stuff like essential oils, a carrier oil (I used jojoba oil ’cause it sounded fancy), and some alcohol (vodka, because why not?). I grabbed all that from an online store, no problem.
Next up, the fun part – picking the characters and their scents! I decided to start with my favorites. Let’s see, for Amber, I figured something fiery and energetic, so I went with cinnamon, orange, and a bit of black pepper. For Jean, I imagined something more elegant and calming, so I picked lavender, chamomile, and a touch of vanilla.
- Amber: Cinnamon, Orange, Black Pepper
- Jean: Lavender, Chamomile, Vanilla
Then came the actual mixing. This is where things got a little… interesting. I didn’t really have any fancy measuring tools, so I just eyeballed it. A few drops of this, a splash of that, you know how it goes. I mixed the essential oils with the jojoba oil in these little glass bottles I found, and then topped it off with some vodka.
After shaking it all up, I let the concoctions sit for a few days, like the internet told me to. I was so impatient, but I figured it was important to let the scents “meld” or whatever. It’s not easy waiting for three or four days, but what can I do? You gotta wait, you know?
Finally, the moment of truth! I dabbed a bit of the Amber perfume on my wrist, and… wow, it was strong! Definitely captured her fiery spirit, maybe a little too much. It smelled like Christmas, but maybe in July, haha. The Jean one was much more subtle, and actually pretty nice. It reminded me of a relaxing spa day, which I guess fits her character.

I spent the next few days experimenting with different ratios, adding a bit more of this, a bit less of that. I even tried making perfumes for a few more characters, like Lisa (rose and jasmine, because she’s all flirty and stuff) and Kaeya (something musky and mysterious, like cedarwood and bergamot).
- Lisa: Rose, Jasmine
- Kaeya: Cedarwood, Bergamot
My Results
Honestly, it was a lot of trial and error. Some of the perfumes turned out pretty decent, while others were, well, let’s just say they were unique. But hey, it was a fun experience, and I learned a lot about scents and stuff. Plus, now I have a bunch of custom-made perfumes that are kinda cool, even if they’re not exactly what I imagined at first. If you’re thinking about trying this yourself, I’d say go for it! Just be prepared for some experimentation, and don’t be afraid to mess up. It’s all part of the fun!
