Alright, guys, gather ’round, let me tell you about my little adventure into the world of high school golf. Specifically, the Florida High School Golf State Championship. I’ve always been a fan of the sport, and I figured, why not dive deep into the results and see what’s what? So, that’s exactly what I did.
First thing I did was, I started hunting for information. I wanted to know where this whole thing was going down. Turns out, it was at the Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills. Nice place, from what I could see online. The dates were from November 12th to 20th, so it’s a pretty recent event.
Then, I started digging into the results. I was curious about who was leading the pack. Turns out, Bolles was way out in front, like, by a lot. They really cleaned up. I saw they scored a 298 in the final round, and their total was 597. Pretty impressive, right?
After that, I wanted to know who else did well. I found out that three schools tied for second place with a score of 620. One of them was Wolfson High School. That was interesting to me.
- Scouring the Web: I spent hours looking at various websites, trying to find scores from different tournaments, you know, regional ones and all that. It was a bit of a maze, but I managed to piece together a decent picture of how things went down.
- Comparing the Teams: I made a little spreadsheet (yeah, I’m that guy) and started comparing the teams. Seeing who was consistent, who had a bad day, stuff like that. Bolles was definitely the most consistent, which I guess explains why they won by such a large margin.
- Focusing on Individuals: Then I got curious about individual players. I stumbled upon this name, Charlie Woods. Ring a bell? Yeah, Tiger Woods’ son! Apparently, he’s 14 and tied for 26th place as an individual and was fourth on his team. He was playing for The Benjamin School.
- Following Another Story: I also found out about this guy, Joey Iaciofano, from Rhode Island. He tied for second and helped Oxbridge Academy win. That’s a cool little story, right? A kid from Rhode Island making waves in Florida.
I spent a good chunk of time just absorbing all this information, and I gotta say, it was pretty fun. High school sports, man, there’s so much passion and effort. It’s really cool to see these young athletes giving it their all.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little data adventure with you all. It was a fun way to spend a few days, and I learned a lot about the Florida high school golf scene. Maybe I’ll do this again next year, see how things change. Who knows, maybe Charlie Woods will be at the top of the leaderboard by then! We’ll just have to wait and see.
So, that’s my story. Nothing too crazy, just a regular guy getting lost in the world of high school golf scores. Hope you found it at least a little bit interesting!
