Okay, so I’ve been on a HUGE Animal Crossing: Wild World kick lately. It’s just so chill, you know? And one of the best parts is K.K. Slider’s Saturday night concerts. I decided I wanted ALL his songs, the whole collection. So, this is how my little quest went down.
First, I booted up my old DS. I hadn’t played Wild World in ages! I found my old save file (thank goodness!), and checked the date. It was a Wednesday. Ugh, the wait!
I knew I had to wait until Saturday. So I did other stuff in the game – fished, caught bugs, paid off some of my mortgage to that greedy Tom Nook. You know, the usual.
Saturday Finally Arrived!
When Saturday finally rolled around, I made sure to be in town by 8 PM. K.K. Slider sets up shop outside the train station, and he only plays from 8 PM to midnight.
I walked up to him, and he asked if I wanted to hear a song. Here’s the thing – you can either request a specific song (if you know the name) OR you can let him choose. The first time, I just let him pick. He played “K.K. Soul,” which was pretty cool.
After the song, he gave me a bootleg copy! That’s how you collect them – you have to listen to the live performance.
I quickly learned that there are some songs he WON’T play unless you request them specifically. They are called “secret songs” and the internet helped me find out that I needed the following:
- K.K. Safari
- K.K. Rockin’
- To The Edge
I spent the next few in-game Saturdays diligently talking to K.K., sometimes requesting specific songs (I looked up a list online, not gonna lie), and sometimes letting him choose. Every time, I got a new bootleg.
It took a while, a few real-life weeks of making sure I was free on Saturday nights. Slowly but surely, I built up my collection. I put a stereo in my house and started playing the songs. So satisfying!
Eventually, I got them all! It was a pretty simple process, but it took some dedication and time. Now, I can listen to any K.K. Slider song I want, whenever I want. Totally worth it!
