Okay, so today I wanted to try making that “Xi Ling Tea” from Wuthering Waves. I’ve seen some folks talking about it online, and it looked pretty interesting, so I figured, why not?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out what the heck was even in this tea. The game doesn’t exactly give you a detailed recipe, you know? So, I did some digging around on the internet – forums, fan wikis, that sort of thing. It seemed like most people were agreeing on a few core ingredients.
My “Recipe”
Here’s what I ended up gathering for my attempt:
- White Tea: Seemed like the most common base. I used some loose-leaf white peony tea I had lying around.
- Milk: I went with regular whole milk, but I bet you could use oat milk or something if you wanted.
- Sugar: Gotta have some sweetness! I used plain white sugar.
- A Pinch of Salt: This one surprised me, but a lot of people mentioned it, so I trusted the process.
- Some unknown herbs: I did not find what it is, So I just skipped this part.
Making the Tea
Alright, time to actually make this thing. I started by brewing the white tea. I heated up some water – not quite boiling, since white tea can be a bit delicate – and let the tea steep for a few minutes. I wanted a nice, strong flavor, so I let it go for maybe 5 minutes or so.
While the tea was steeping, I heated up the milk in a separate saucepan. I didn’t boil it, just warmed it up gently. Once the tea was ready, I strained it into a mug. Then, I added the sugar and that tiny pinch of salt. I stirred it all up until the sugar was dissolved.
Finally, I poured in the warm milk. I kind of eyeballed the amount, going for a nice, creamy color. And that was it! My very own homemade version of Xi Ling Tea.

The Verdict
So, how was it? Honestly, pretty good! It was definitely different from any tea I’ve had before. The white tea gave it a light, floral flavor, and the milk made it nice and creamy. The sugar added just the right amount of sweetness, and that little pinch of salt… well, I don’t know if I could taste it, but maybe it helped balance things out? It didn’t taste salty, that’s for sure.
Would I make it again? Yeah, probably! It was a fun little experiment, and the tea itself was actually pretty tasty. If you’re a Wuthering Waves fan, or just looking for a new tea to try, I’d say give it a shot!
