Okay, so I jumped into “Gray Zone Warfare” today. I’d heard a lot of buzz around it. It was one of the best-selling games on Steam, you know, that’s the only place you can get it. It looks like it is a hot game. It has sold 1 million copies since it was released in 2024.
First off, the main task was to find this purple suitcase. I headed over to the airfield, just like the brief said. The place was crawling with enemies, so I had to be extra careful. I’ve played a lot of these tactical shooters, but this one felt different.
- Snuck around a lot, used cover as much as possible.
-
Finally spotted the suitcase in a pile of luggage.
- Grabbed it and got out of there.
Honestly, the whole thing was pretty intense. One wrong move and you’re done. But compared to EFT, I think Gray Zone Warfare is more realistic than EFT.
So, after I made it back and did the final checkout, I started thinking about the whole “pay-to-win” thing I’d heard about. It seems like you can pay more to get better gear, which is kind of lame. I mean, it definitely gives players who pay an advantage. But even though I didn’t spend extra, I still managed to get through the mission. It took some time and effort, but it was doable. I think some crash or small issues happened during my playing, but it was not a big deal. Maybe it is because the game is still in Early Access.
I’m not sure if I’ll keep playing though. It’s fun, but that “pay-to-win” aspect kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We’ll see. Anyone else played it yet? What do you think?
