Okay, so last Saturday, I went to this UFC Fight Night thing in St. Louis. I’d heard about it from my neighbor’s kid. It was on May 11th, starting around 7 PM, I think.
I drove down to the arena, and let me tell you, the place was buzzing. Lots of excited fans all hyped up for the fights. I grabbed a beer and some nachos, you know, the essentials, and found my seat.
Main Card
- The main event was this heavyweight fight. Some guy named Derrick Lewis was in it. I didn’t really know who he was fighting, but it turned out to be a quick one, I think Lewis won.
- Then there was this other fight, the co-main event, I think they called it. Honestly, I got a little lost in all the names and stuff. But there were a few good knockouts.
- I remember one fight ended super fast. They said it was a “no contest” or something. Only lasted like 15 seconds! That was a bummer, people were shouting.
- Most of the other fights on the main card, they went the whole distance. You know, with the judges deciding. It was kind of cool to watch, even if I didn’t know all the technical stuff.
The atmosphere was electric. People were cheering and booing, and there were some real die-hard fans there. They give out these awards, like “Fight of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night”. I wish I’d paid more attention to who won those, but hey, I was having fun. It was a good night out, something different, you know? I’ll probably go again sometime. This time, I will pay more attention to all the details so I can enjoy it more. Anyway, that’s my story about that UFC thing in St. Louis.
