Alright, so, let’s talk about this Dodgers and Mets game, yeah? The one happening on April 21st. Heard some folks jabbering about it, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, even though I don’t know beans about fancy baseball talk.
Now, they’re saying the Dodgers are the favorites. Favorites, they say. Means they think the Dodgers gonna win, I guess. They got some numbers, like -132 and -152, whatever that means. Sounds like they’re pretty sure about it. But the Mets, they ain’t no pushovers, no sir. They got +112 and +120, which I reckon means they got a fighting chance. Someone even said +209 for Mets, that’s a pretty good number, ain’t it? Makes you think.
They’re talking about a 1.5-run favorite thing too. Dodgers again. Something about +130 odds. Honestly, it’s all Greek to me. But from what I gather, it means the Dodgers gotta win by more than just a little bit. Like, they gotta stomp ‘em good, you know?
Then there’s this over/under thing. They’re throwing around numbers like 8.5 and 7 and even 9. I guess that’s how many runs they think will be scored in the whole game. Over means more runs, under means less. Simple as that. Someone said something ‘bout betting “First Five Innings Under 4”, and I think they are betting the first five innings total runs will be less than 4. That sounds like a smart bet, maybe, cause them pitchers, they start strong, usually.
- So, Dodgers are the favorites.
- Mets got a chance, but they’re the underdogs.
- Dodgers gotta win by a bunch to cover that 1.5-run thing.
- And then there’s the guessing game of how many runs will be scored.
This game, it’s happening at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, they say. 4:10 PM, that’s what I heard. So, if you’re planning on watching, don’t be late. Unless you’re like me and just gonna hear about it later from the neighbors.
Now, some folks are talking about a “series lead” and “Game 5” and all that. Sounds like these two teams been playing each other for a while now. And this game on April 21st, it’s important for figuring out who’s gonna win the whole shebang, I reckon.
They even mentioned some fella named Jack Flaherty starting Game 5. Don’t know him from Adam, but I guess he’s a pitcher, one of them fellas who throws the ball real hard. And they also mentioned Mets wining 12 to 6 in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series. Sounds like that was a real barn burner.
So, what’s my prediction? Well, I ain’t no fortune teller, that’s for sure. But seeing as the Dodgers are the favorites and they’re playing at home, I’d say they got a pretty good shot. But them Mets, they’re scrappy. They ain’t gonna roll over and play dead. It’ll be a close game, I bet. Could go either way, really. That’s the fun of it, ain’t it? You never really know what’s gonna happen until it happens.
But if I had to put my money on it, and I ain’t got much money to spare, mind you, I’d say Dodgers win, but not by a whole lot. Maybe something like 5 to 4, or 6 to 5. Something close like that. But like I said, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout nothin’, so don’t go blamin’ me if I’m wrong.
Anyway, that’s my take on this here Dodgers versus Mets game. Hope it made some sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my tomatoes.
