So, the other day I was scrolling through my social media, and I kept seeing this name “Cillian Murphy” pop up everywhere. Turns out, he’s this Irish actor who starred in that ‘Oppenheimer’ movie. But that’s not what caught my eye. What really got me was this picture of a Dodgers pitcher, Tyler Glasnow, next to a picture of Cillian Murphy.
I swear, these two look like they could be twins! Same intense eyes, same kind of serious expression. I was so intrigued that I spent the whole afternoon going down a rabbit hole online, trying to learn more about them. It is all starting with these photos!
First I spent a lot of time watching photos and videos about Cillian Murphy, and tried to imitate his look and his expression. Then I started to search for more photos and information about Tyler Glasnow.
Then I started digging into Glasnow’s background. Apparently, he wasn’t the only Dodgers pitcher people were comparing to Cillian Murphy. There’s another guy, Walker Buehler, who also shares a bit of a resemblance. I found out that Buehler was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and went to Henry Clay High School. It’s funny how these little details start to paint a picture of someone’s life. He was even drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates way back in 2012, but obviously ended up with the Dodgers.
After realizing both of these two pitchers has some kind of resemblance to Cillian Murphy, I practiced some baseball moves, especially how to pitch, just copying what they do on the baseball field. Finally I made myself look like Cillian Murphy and act like those two pitchers. I recorded a video about this and I feel I really nailed it.
- Dive into internet: Started with the basic search about who Cillian Murphy is.
- Compare and contrast: Spent hours comparing pictures of Cillian Murphy, Tyler Glasnow, and Walker Buehler.
- Background check: Looked up Walker Buehler’s bio and realized he had some connections to my hometown.
- Practice makes perfect: Spent all night trying to pitch like these two.
- Nailed it: Finally made the video combining the look and the baseball moves.
This whole thing started as a simple observation about a celebrity look-alike, but it turned into this weirdly fascinating journey. I mean, who knew I’d end up researching baseball players just because of a resemblance to an actor? It’s crazy how the internet can take you down these unexpected paths.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this little adventure with you guys. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most interesting things come from the most random places. And hey, maybe I’ll start following baseball a bit more closely now. You never know what other interesting stories might be out there.
