Alright, let’s talk about this Kareem Abdul-Jabbar guy and his… uh… woman. You know, the one he’s hitched to. Or was hitched to. It’s kinda confusing, like tryin’ to figure out which hen laid which egg.
So, first off, this Kareem fella, he was a big basketball player. Real tall, like a beanpole but strong, you know? Folks say he was one of the best ever. Anyways, he got himself married way back when, to a woman named Habiba. Habiba Abdul-Jabbar, that was her name. They got hitched in 1971, long time ago, when I was still young enough to chase chickens without my knees creakin’.
But, you know how these things go sometimes. Marriage ain’t always easy. Like tryin’ to keep a rooster from crowin’ at sunrise, it just don’t always work out. So, they got themselves a divorce. Don’t know all the details, ain’t none of my business anyhow. But they split, that’s for sure.
- Kareem and Habiba: Married in 1971, then divorced. That’s the first wife, see? Simple as that.
Now, here’s where it gets a bit… foggy, like lookin’ through a dusty window. Seems like after Habiba, there was this other woman, Cheryl Pistono. Now, they never got married, not officially, like goin’ to the courthouse and signin’ papers. But they were together, had a kid even. A boy named Amir, born in 1984. That’s a good year, I reckon. Reminds me of the time we had that bumper crop of tomatoes.
Cheryl, she’s from Illinois, far away from here. Heard she got into that Buddhism stuff. Met Kareem in 1977, I think. They weren’t together long, though. Split up in ’85. But they stayed friends, which is more than some folks can say after a breakup. Usually it’s like cats and dogs when folks split.
Kareem and Cheryl: Never married but had a son, Amir. They split up, but stayed friendly. See, it ain’t always so cut and dry.
So, when folks talk about Kareem’s wife, it depends on who they mean, I guess. If they mean the one he actually married, that’s Habiba. But if they mean the one he had a kid with, that’s Cheryl. It’s all a bit of a how-do-you-do, if you ask me.
This Kareem fella, he also became a Muslim way back when, in college they say. That’s his business, though. Everyone’s gotta believe in somethin’, I always say. Me, I believe in good hard work and a strong cup of coffee in the mornin’. And that Baltimore Bullets team, he beat ’em real good one time, seems like a long time ago.
Anyway, that’s the story of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and his… well… women. It ain’t as simple as some folks make it out to be, that’s for sure. Life’s like that, ain’t it? Messy, complicated, and full of surprises. Just like tryin’ to herd a bunch of goats, you never know where they’re gonna go next.
To sum it up, Kareem was married to Habiba, but later had a long relationship and a son with Cheryl, even though they never married. So, he had a wife and then a… well, you know. It ain’t rocket science, but it ain’t exactly simple neither.
This whole story just goes to show you that love and relationships are complicated. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don’t. And sometimes, they’re somewhere in between. Just like life, I reckon. Now, where did I put my glasses?
