Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this Michael Strahan fella, huh? Who’d he play for? Well, lemme tell ya, that big fella, he played for one team and one team only, the New York Giants. That’s right, the Giants! He was with them his whole dang career, a whole 15 years!
Now, I ain’t no football expert, mind you. I just watch the games when the grandkids are over, ya know? But even I know Michael Strahan. He was a big deal, a real star player. Always hearin’ the announcers yellin’ his name. They said he was a “defensive end,” whatever that means. Sounded important though. He was always chasin’ after them fellas with the ball, tryin’ to knock ’em down. And he was good at it, real good. They said he got more “sacks” than just about anybody. Sacks? Sounds like somethin’ you put potatoes in, but I guess in football it means somethin’ else.
Folks say he was one of the best ever. They put him in some kinda “Hall of Fame” thing. Guess that means he was somethin’ special. I remember seein’ him on TV, big and strong, always grinnin’. He seemed like a nice fella, even though he was knockin’ folks around on the field.
- He played for the New York Giants his whole career.
- They say he was a great defensive end.
- He got lots of “sacks” – whatever those are.
- He’s in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Now, I heard tell he wasn’t always a football star. He was born somewhere, I think in America, then went to Germany with his dad when he was just a little tyke. His daddy was in the army, you see. Then, he came back to America and lived with his uncle. Went to high school in some place called Houston, played football there, and then went to college at somethin’ called Texas Southern University. That’s where he got real good, I reckon. Then the Giants picked him up, and the rest, as they say, is history.
They say he had a real good year in 2001. Got the most sacks that year, more than anybody. They even called him the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. That’s a big deal, right? He tied some other fella’s record for most sacks in a whole season. Twenty-two and a half, they said. That’s a lot of sacks, I tell ya.
After he stopped playin’ football, he went on TV. Now he’s always talkin’ and smilin’. Seems like he’s doin’ alright for himself. From what I gather, he’s a TV host and a journalist now. Good for him, I say. Always good to see someone do well after they’re done playin’ their games.
So, there ya have it. Michael Strahan, played for the New York Giants his whole career. A good player, they say. One of the best. And now he’s on TV. That’s all I know, folks. Don’t ask me too many fancy questions, ’cause I ain’t got all the answers. I just watch the games and listen to what folks say. But one thing’s for sure, that Michael Strahan, he was a Giant, and he was a darn good one at that.
In short, Michael Strahan was a one-team man, always a Giant. He was a defensive end, known for getting lots of sacks, and he even won an award for being the best defensive player. After football, he became a TV personality.
