Okay, so today I got a bit sidetracked, ended up digging into Brian Harman’s history at TPC Sawgrass. It wasn’t planned, just sort of happened. I was thinking about THE PLAYERS Championship, you know, how tough that Stadium Course is, especially that island green on 17. And Harman’s name popped into my head. He’s a solid player, gritty guy, former Georgia Bulldog like me – well, not like me, he actually played golf there, I just went to school. Anyway, I got curious about how he’s fared on that particular monster of a course over the years.

My Little Research Dive
So, first thing, I just went online. Opened up my browser, you know the drill. I started simple, just typed in something like “Brian Harman TPC Sawgrass results” or “Harman Players Championship record”. You get a lot of noise sometimes, but you gotta sift through it.
Found a few sites listing his finishes year by year. It’s quite a list, actually. He’s been playing it pretty consistently for a while now. Made myself a quick mental note, or rather, scribbled some stuff down on a notepad I keep by the computer.
Looking at the Numbers
- He’s definitely had some appearances there. It wasn’t just one or two times.
- Results are kind of all over the place, which honestly, isn’t too surprising for Sawgrass. That course can jump up and bite anyone.
- Saw some missed cuts in there. Yep, happens to the best of them. Pete Dye’s design doesn’t care who you are.
- Noticed a couple of decent finishes too. Think I saw a T8 somewhere in his record? Let me double-check that… yeah, looks like he snagged a top-10 finish back in 2021. That’s pretty solid work around there.
- Before that, seemed like a mix – some made cuts but maybe middle-of-the-pack finishes, and those pesky MCs.
So, I spent a bit of time just scrolling through the year-by-year stuff. Didn’t go super deep into hole-by-hole stats or anything crazy, just wanted a general feel for his track record at THE PLAYERS.
Putting it Together
It seems like TPC Sawgrass hasn’t been his absolute favorite hunting ground historically, compared to maybe some other courses. But that 2021 result shows he can tame it. It’s not like he hasn’t figured it out at all. It just seems like a place that, like for many players, can yield really different results depending on the year, the conditions, how his game is feeling that week.

It’s interesting, right? You see these top-level pros, and even for them, some courses just fit their eye better than others, or maybe pose unique challenges. For Harman at Sawgrass, it looks like a bit of a mixed bag based on what I found today. Definitely had some success, especially that T8, but also some struggles. Pretty typical for Sawgrass, I guess. It was just a quick look, satisfying my curiosity for the day.
