Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole fantasy football thing, and this year, I really wanted to nail down a killer team name. I’m a big Deshaun Watson fan, so I thought, why not try to come up with something that’s got his name in it? Sounds easy enough, right?
So, first thing I did was hit up the internet, just to see what other folks have already cooked up. Typed in something like “fantasy football names Deshaun Watson” into the search bar and bam, a whole bunch of lists popped up. I started scrolling through, looking for inspiration.
I saw a few that were kinda funny, like “Watson in Your Wallet” and “Deshaun of the Dead.” They were alright, but nothing that really jumped out at me. I wanted something a bit more unique, you know? Something that would make my buddies in the league chuckle but also kinda respect the cleverness, haha.
I spent a good chunk of time just brainstorming, jotting down ideas on a notepad. I played around with his name, trying to mix it with different words and phrases. It was kinda like doing a word puzzle, but way more fun. Here are the names that I wrote down, I picked a few that seem to work. I hope one of these works, and they are all in this unordered list:
- Deshaun of the South
- Watson’s Warriors
- Deshaun’s Destroyers
- Watson’s Wonders
- The Watsoning
After a while, I had a decent list going. I started saying them out loud, trying to get a feel for how they sounded. Some of them were a bit of a mouthful, so I crossed those off. Others just didn’t have the right ring to them.
Finally, I narrowed it down to a few that I really liked. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I texted a couple of friends from the league. I threw out my top choices and asked them what they thought. Of course, they had their own opinions, which made the choice even tougher!
In the end, I went with “Watson’s Wonders”. It’s got a nice flow to it, it’s easy to remember, and it shows my support for Deshaun. Plus, I think it’s got that little bit of cleverness that I was looking for.
So yeah, that’s how I ended up with my fantasy football team name this year. It was a fun little process, and I’m pretty stoked with what I came up with. Now, let’s just hope Deshaun has a killer season and lives up to the name!
