We played a few rounds, and it was smooth sailing. No lag, no disconnects, just good old Overwatch fun. It’s pretty awesome that Blizzard made it so easy to play with friends, no matter what system they’re on.
So, to answer the big question: Can Steam players play with Xbox players on Overwatch 2? Absolutely! Just not in Competitive mode. For everything else, it’s game on. It’s a huge improvement from the old Overwatch days, and I’m all for it.
