Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Craig Jones. Heard some folks talkin’, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, ya know?
Who is this Craig Jones fella anyway?
Now, from what I gather, this Craig Jones, he’s a big shot in somethin’ called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Sounds fancy, huh? It’s like wrestlin’, but with more twistin’ and turnin’, I reckon. People say he’s real good at it, knows all sorts of tricks and moves.
What’s he teachin’, then?
- Leg Locks: Seems like this is his bread and butter. He’s got all these courses on leg locks, heel hooks they call ’em. Folks are sayin’ he can teach you how to tie up a fella’s legs like a pretzel. One course, almost two hours long, just on heel hooks! Another one, hour and a half, just on how to get out of them leg locks. That’s important, I guess, if you don’t wanna end up limpin’.
- Body Lock Stuff: Heard tell he’s got a video on somethin’ called a “body lock foot post.” Sounds complicated, but I figure it’s about controllin’ a fella when you’re wrestlin’. Seems like he’s got a new way of doin’ it, makes it easier to pass their guard, whatever that means.
- Get Off My Legs: He’s got this course called “Get Off My Legs, Gringo.” Now, that’s a funny name, ain’t it? Guess it teaches you how to get a fella off your legs if they’re tryin’ to tie you up. Folks say it’s real good for learnin’ the basics, helps you when you’re in a tight spot.
Why are folks so hot on his teachin’?
Well, it ain’t just about learnin’ some fancy moves, see? People say he’s good at explainin’ things. He don’t just show you what to do, he tells you why you’re doin’ it. That’s important, I reckon. If you just copy someone, you’re lost if things change. But if you understand the why, you can figure things out on your own.
Where can you learn from this Craig fella?
Seems like there’s this place called “Grapplers Guide” – some fella named Scully runs it, I think. That’s where you can find Craig Jones’ courses. They got a whole bunch of stuff there, not just Craig Jones. Other fellas teachin’ all sorts of things – rubber guard, lock down, truck, spider web… sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me, but folks seem to like it.
Is it just for fancy folks?
Now, I ain’t sure about that. Some of this stuff sounds real complicated, talkin’ ’bout Z-guards and back takes and triangles from hell. But from what I hear, Craig Jones also teaches the basics. So, I guess it’s for anyone who wants to learn, whether you’re just startin’ out or you’ve been wrestlin’ for years. They say you can use his stuff whether you’re just tryin’ to get better at the basics, or if you wanna get into those fancy leg locks and escapes. Sounds like he covers it all.
So, is this Craig Jones fella worth listenin’ to?
Well, I ain’t no expert, mind you. But from what I hear, he knows his stuff. Folks seem to think he’s one of the best at teachin’ this Jiu-Jitsu stuff. And he ain’t just teachin’ you moves, he’s teachin’ you how to think about wrestlin’. He shows you how to expose that heel and attack with an inside heel hook, even if the other fella is tryin’ hard to stop you. He’s also teachin’ you how to use leglocks period, setups, entries, all of it. That’s important, I reckon, no matter what you’re doin’. If you wanna learn somethin’ new, find someone who knows what they’re talkin’ about and listen to ’em. And it seems like a lot of folks are listenin’ to Craig Jones. That’s all there is to it, plain and simple.
