Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about Cody Rhodes’ hair, specifically when he was in AEW, and how it was sometimes dark, almost black. Some folks were confused, thinking he’d dyed it, so I decided to do a little experiment of my own to see what’s what.

My Little Experiment
First, I gathered some old pictures and videos of Cody from his AEW days. I needed a good range of shots – some in bright light, some in darker settings, the whole deal.
- Step 1: Observation. I spent a good chunk of time just looking at these images. I noticed, yeah, sometimes his hair looked pretty darn dark, especially compared to his usual blonde.
- Step 2: Lighting Check. This is where it got interesting. I started paying really close attention to the lighting in each picture. In the ones where his hair looked darkest, the lighting was often dimmer, or coming from behind him.
I started messing around. I Took some photos myself. In the harsh, direct sunlight, my test subject’s hair definitely lightened up. But when the sun was behind them, or when I took pictures in shade, bam – looked much darker.
It seems Cody, just, have light hair that can play tricks in different lights. It’s basic stuff, really, but it’s easy to get fooled.
