First Steps: What Even Is It?
First, I had to figure out what I was even dealing with. “Christian Watson ADP”… it sounded like some kind of football stat. I’m no sports expert, so my initial step was simple: I started looking it up.
Gathering the Data
Once I had a basic understanding, I started to look around to collect data. I needed to find Christian Watson’s ADP for multiple drafts, different league types, different time which means a lot of copy and past, let me tell you that.
My process looked like this:
- Open a couple of these sites in separate browser tabs.
- Find Christian Watson on each one (usually by searching his name).
- Look at where he was being drafted, on average.
- Note the numbers down, going back and forth.
It was kinda tedious, but I needed to get a good sample size. I went through maybe ten or fifteen different sources, trying to get a good feel for the range.
Putting It All Together
After I had a bunch of numbers, I needed to put together. It was all a bit scattered, so I needed to find a way to see the overall picture, for which I put them into a simple spreadsheet, just columns for the source and the ADP number.

Once I had it all in one place, I could start to see some patterns. I looked at the average, the highest ADP, the lowest… all that stuff.
The Final Result
It took a bit of time, but I finally got a solid handle on Christian Watson’s ADP. I had a good range, an average I felt confident in, and a better understanding of how people are valuing him. It was definitely a learning experience, and now I have a method I can use for other players, too!
