Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Charles Rookwood trial thingy, like I saw it with my own eyes, ya know?
So, this fella, Charles Rookwood, seems like he got himself into a heap of trouble. Folks say he used to be a teacher at that Hogwarts school, teachin’ some kinda magic stuff. Now, he’s got this trial, and it ain’t lookin’ good for him. They say it’s a big deal, one of them main quests in that Hogwarts Legacy thingy the youngsters are always jabberin’ about.
First off, you gotta get yerself into this Rookwood Castle. Sounds fancy, huh? But it ain’t no picnic gettin’ in there. Lots of bad guys and such. That Professor Fig, he helps ya out, though. Smart fella, that Fig.
Once you’re inside, you gotta find a picture, a portrait, of this Rookwood fella. It ain’t just hangin’ on the wall, no sir. It’s hidden behind a gate, and that gate’s locked up tight. You gotta do some fiddlin’ around to open it. Somethin’ ’bout hittin’ three signs on the wall all at the same time. Sounds tricky to me, but them young’uns these days, they’re good at that kinda stuff.
- Gotta get inside Rookwood Castle.
- Professor Fig helps fight the bad guys.
- Find the picture behind a locked gate.
- Hit three signs to open the gate.
Anyways, after you get through that gate, there’s more fightin’. More bad guys in the yard, and then you gotta climb the walls like a squirrel. Finally, you get to a room with a magic door. More signs to hit, three of ’em again, to open that door. Seems like they like them signs, don’t they?
And then, there he is! Charles Rookwood’s picture, right there on the wall. You gotta talk to him, the picture I mean. Weird, ain’t it? Talkin’ to a picture. But that’s magic for ya.
After yappin’ with the picture, you gotta mess with some magic on the floor. Connect to it, they say. That’s when the trial really starts, I reckon.
Now, this Rookwood fella, he knew a thing or two about changin’ stuff. Transfiguration, they call it. Makin’ things turn into other things. Like turnin’ a toad into a teacup, I guess. He used to teach it at that Hogwarts school, so he’s probably pretty good at it. Makes me wonder if he tried to transfigure himself outta this trial. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?
Then there’s somethin’ about a cellar. The Rookwood Cellar, they call it. You gotta go through a hole in the wall to get there. Sounds dark and spooky to me. I wouldn’t go down there, not for all the tea in China. But them youngsters, they ain’t scared of nothin’.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout gettin’ ready for this trial. Wonderin’ what kinda potions to take and what kinda spells to use. Potions and spells! Sounds like a whole lotta hooey to me. But I guess if you’re gonna go up against a magic fella like Rookwood, you need all the help you can get.
So, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Get in the castle, fight some bad guys, find the picture, do some magic, and then go down into that spooky cellar. Sounds like a lot of work to me. I’d rather just sit here and have a cup of tea, but that’s just me. This here trial, it’s a big to-do, seems important for them Hogwarts folks. And that Charles fella? Well, he better hope he knows some good magic, or he’s in for a world of hurt.
Now this here world, it’s got all sorts of maps, see? Like a Hogwarts Map, and a Hogsmeade Map, and I reckon there’s a map for just about everywhere if you look hard enough. They help you find your way around, just like knowing how to get to the market on a Saturday morning.
And this here Charles’s Trial, it ain’t just a walk in the park. People are askin’ for advice, what kinda potions to stock up on, what kinda spells to get ready. Sounds like you need to plan ahead, like preparin’ for a big storm. You wouldn’t go out in a blizzard without yer coat, would ya? Same thing with this trial, I reckon.
