Alright, so you wanna know about this Cal Haladay fella and the NFL draft, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know how to say it.
This young fella, Cal Haladay, plays for the Michigan State Spartans. He’s a linebacker, you know, one of them tough guys who tackles everyone. I hear he’s been playing real good for them Spartans for a while now. Folks say he’s been the main tackler for three years straight! That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Means he’s tough and don’t quit.
Now, they got all these fancy numbers and stats they use for these football fellas. Something about “total tackles” and “TFL” and “sacks.” I don’t rightly understand all that, but I hear Cal’s got a whole bunch of ’em. They say he got over 200 tackles, and somethin’ called 16 TFLs. Sounds like a lot to me. He even got a couple of them “pick-sixes,” where he catches the ball and runs it all the way back for a touchdown. That’s pretty darn impressive, even for an old gal like me to understand.
- He’s got over 200 total tackles.
- 16 TFL, whatever that means.
- Two pick-sixes, now that’s somethin’ I get!
- And some other stuff too, like forced fumbles and pass breakups. Sounds like he’s a real busy fella on the field.
They also say he started playin’ for the Spartans way back in 2021, when he was just a young’un. He played in a lot of games that year and tackled a whole bunch of folks. He even got a couple of interceptions, which is when you catch the other team’s ball, you know. He’s been gettin’ better ever since, it seems.
Now, this NFL draft thing, that’s where all the best college players go to play professional football. It’s a big deal, you know. They got these folks called “PFF” who make a big board, kinda like a list, of all the good players. I reckon Cal Haladay’s gonna be on that list. He’s good enough, that’s for sure.
I saw somethin’ where Cal fella was talkin’ to some fella named Michael Robinson. They were talkin’ about what makes Cal play so hard and how he plays. Seems like he’s a real determined young man, got that fire in his belly, you know? He don’t just play for the money or the fame, he plays because he loves it, and he wants to be the best he can be. That’s the kinda fella you want on your team, I tell ya.
They say Cal’s one of only four Spartans ever to score three defensive touchdowns. That puts him in some pretty good company, I reckon. He’s made a real name for himself at Michigan State. Now, he’s lookin’ to make a name for himself in the NFL.
So, will Cal Haladay get drafted? Well, I ain’t no fortune teller, but I’d say he’s got a pretty good shot. He’s tough, he’s talented, and he’s got that somethin’ special that makes him stand out. He’s gonna make some NFL team real happy, you mark my words. He reminds me of them old-time players, you know, the ones who played hard and didn’t complain. He’s a good ‘un, that Cal Haladay.
And you know what else? His folks, Greg and Noreen, must be real proud of him. Born on December 16th, that boy was. Probably a Christmas baby, huh? Well, he’s sure been a gift to the Spartans, and he’s gonna be a gift to some NFL team too. You just wait and see.
So that’s the lowdown on Cal Haladay, as best as I can tell ya. He’s a good football player, and he’s gonna do big things, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football has made me hungry!
