Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Brian Harman, plays that golf game, you know? Folks call him a champion, and I reckon he must be pretty good if they say so. Seen him on the TV sometimes, hittin’ that little white ball all over the place.
Now, they talk about his “witb,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but I figure it’s just the stuff he carries around with him when he’s playin’. Like his tools, ya see? A farmer’s got his plow and his hoe, this Brian fella’s got his golf clubs.
Brian Harman’s Golf Bag: What’s Inside?
They say he’s got this “Titleist TSi2 Driver.” Sounds like a big ol’ hammer to me, but I guess it helps him whack that ball a long ways. Folks get all excited about these things, talkin’ ’bout drivers and woods and irons and wedges… Makes my head spin, it does. It’s all just sticks to me, but I guess each one does somethin’ different.
One thing I did hear about is his putter. Said it’s an “old-school TaylorMade Spider.” Now, a spider’s somethin’ I know about. Used to find ’em in the barn all the time. Don’t know how they made a putter outta one, though. Must be somethin’ special, I reckon, if they’re talkin’ about it. This putter, they say it helps him get the ball in the hole when he’s close. That’s important, I hear, ’cause that’s how you win the game, gettin’ that little ball in that little hole.
- Driver: Titleist TSi2 Driver – That’s the big stick, for hittin’ it far.
- Putter: Old-School TaylorMade Spider – For gettin’ the ball in the hole, nice and gentle like.
- Other Clubs: Woods, irons, wedges – Lots of ’em, all different shapes and sizes. Don’t ask me what they do, it’s too complicated for an old woman like me.
Folks say he almost beat this other fella, Scheffler, in some big game. The “Open Championship,” they called it. Must be a big deal, seein’ as how everyone was talkin’ about it. But then they said somethin’ funny about this Brian fella. Said he misses a bunch of cuts, but then sometimes he does real good, like finishin’ fifth. Sounds like he’s a bit up and down, like the weather around here. One day it’s sunshine, the next it’s pourin’ rain. That’s golf for ya, I guess.
They even went so far as to peek inside his bag at somethin’ called the “2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship,” seems like folks are real curious about what this fella uses. Like it’s some kinda magic, them clubs. I tell ya, it ain’t the tools, it’s the fella usin’ ’em. You could give me the fanciest plow in the world, but I still ain’t gonna grow no crops if I don’t know what I’m doin’. Same with golf, I reckon.
And they said his bag don’t look like what other champions carry. So this Brian guy, he’s a bit different, huh? Maybe that’s why he’s good, doin’ things his own way. Can’t fault a fella for that. In this world, you gotta find what works for you and stick with it. Don’t matter if it’s a plow or a putter, long as you know how to use it.
So, there ya have it, a little somethin’ about this Brian Harman fella and his “witb.” He’s a golf player, and he’s got a bunch of clubs, and sometimes he wins and sometimes he don’t. Just like the rest of us, tryin’ to make our way in the world. He swings them sticks, and I plant my seeds, and we both hope for the best. That’s life, ain’t it?
Brian Harman’s Golf Clubs Compared
Now, they like to compare his sticks to what other golf fellas use, these “PGA Tour pros”. Always comparin’, folks are. My tomatoes are bigger than yours, my cow gives more milk… it never ends. But I guess that’s how they figure out who’s the best. Me, I just care if the crops grow and the animals are healthy. Don’t need no comparisons to know if I’m doin’ alright. But these fellas with golf clubs, they got numbers and stats, and they use it all to see who’s who.
So, this Brian Harman, he’s got his way, and he’s got his tools, and he’s out there swingin’. And folks are watchin’, and talkin’, and comparin’. And that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got chores to do.
