Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this wrestling stuff, this “No Mercy” thing. I watched it, y’know, with the grandkids yellin’ and all. Couldn’t make heads or tails of it half the time, but hey, it was somethin’ to watch.
So, first off, there was this Becky Lynch gal. Tough cookie, she is. Always scrappin’ and fightin’. She was up against some young whippersnapper, Tiffany Stratton, they said her name was. And they were goin’ at it in some kinda crazy match, “Extreme Rules” they called it. Sounded scary, all that screamin’ and bangin’. But Becky, she held her own, tough as nails, like I said. She won, kept her belt, whatever that means.
Then there was this boy, Trick Williams. Good-lookin’ kid, strong too. He was fightin’ for somethin’ called the “North American Championship.” Don’t ask me what that is, sounds fancy though. He was up against this Dominik Mysterio fella. Now, this Mysterio kid, he’s got a famous daddy, I heard. Big wrestler back in the day. Anyways, Trick and Mysterio, they went back and forth, punchin’ and kickin’. And get this, there was another fella in the ring, Dragon Lee, but he wasn’t fightin’. He was the “special guest referee.” Fancy, right? Well, Trick, he won! The crowd went wild, clappin’ and cheerin’. Good for him, I say.

Now, before all this “No Mercy” hoopla, there was some other stuff goin’ on. This fella, Joe Hendry, he promised a concert. A concert! At a wrestling show! Can you believe it? I don’t know what he sang, but the grandkids seemed to like it. Loud music, that’s all I know. Wrestling sure has changed since I was a young’un. Back then, it was just good ol’ fashioned gruntin’ and groanin’, not all this fancy singin’ and dancin’.
They said this “No Mercy” was a big deal for this NXT thing. NXT, whatever that is. Sounds like some kinda club, I guess. But it’s wrestling, that’s for sure. Lots of muscles and sweat and yellin’. And the grandkids, they love it. So, I watch it with ’em. Keeps ’em happy, y’know. And sometimes, I even get a little excited myself, when someone gets slammed on the mat real good. Makes me feel young again, almost.
So yeah, that’s what I remember ’bout this “No Mercy.” Becky Lynch fightin’ hard, Trick Williams winnin’ a belt, Joe Hendry singin’ songs. And a whole lotta noise. It ain’t my cup of tea, but the kids love it. And that’s what matters, right? Family and all that. Plus, it gives me somethin’ to talk about with the other old ladies at the bingo hall. “Did you see that wrestling show last night?” I’ll ask ’em. And they’ll shake their heads and say, “Oh, you and your crazy wrestling!” But secretly, I think they’re a little bit curious. Maybe next time, I’ll invite ’em over to watch. We can all yell and cheer together. That’d be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
No Mercy, huh? More like “Lots of Noise” if you ask me. But hey, at least it’s entertainin’. And that’s more than you can say for some of that stuff they put on TV these days. So, I’ll keep watchin’, keep cheerin’ for the good guys, and keep shakin’ my head at all the craziness. It’s just wrestling, after all. Don’t take it too serious.
Important note: This whole show happened on September 1st, I think. Or maybe it was the 27th of August for some of it? Honestly, I can’t keep all these dates straight. Too much for this old brain.
