Well, I reckon most folks know who Braun Strowman is, right? That big ol’ fella who used to tear up the ring in WWE. A real giant, they call him. But, oh boy, it seems like the Monster Among Men ran into a bit of trouble with his neck. Back in May 2023, we didn’t see him in the ring no more, and folks started wondering where he went. Turns out, he had a serious injury, and they had to do neck surgery on him.
Now, this neck business ain’t no small thing. It happened when he was in one of them matches, and something went wrong. Somebody hit him wrong, and his head snapped back real quick. That ain’t good for nobody, especially when you’re a big fella like him. His neck got hurt bad, causing some serious problems with his spine between the C4 and C5 vertebrae. Doctors said it was bad enough that it was messing with his arms, and he couldn’t feel ’em right. That’s a scary thing for anyone, no matter how tough you are.
But, let me tell you something, these wrestlers, they’re tough as nails. They don’t just give up easy. Braun, he went and got himself some neck fusion surgery in June 2023. That’s a big deal, folks. The doctors had to fix up his neck bones so he don’t end up in worse shape. Now, you might be thinking, “Well, that’s the end of it, ain’t it?” But nope, Braun ain’t the first wrestler to go through something like this, and he sure won’t be the last.
See, there’s been a lot of wrestlers who’ve come back from neck surgeries, and it’s like a real miracle sometimes. One fella, John Cena, had his neck worked on in 2008. He had some disc trouble, and if he hadn’t had surgery, he might’ve ended up paralyzed. But he came back, and folks still cheer for him every time he steps in that ring. Then there’s Edge, another big name. He had some serious neck issues too, where he ruptured his C5 to C7 vertebrae. That was back when he was just 29! But after surgery and a long recovery, he came back swinging. Folks love Edge, and he’s still wrestling today. So, that gives us a little hope for Braun.
Another wrestler, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, went through neck surgery too, back in the day. He had some messed-up vertebrae, and it was a real close call. But after some surgery, he was back at it. Lita, Saraya, and even Tommaso Ciampa—these are just a few more wrestlers who’ve had neck surgeries and made it back. They all had their own struggles, but they didn’t give up, and now they’re back in the ring, doing what they love.
Now, don’t go thinking that neck surgery is something to take lightly. It’s a risky thing. But wrestling is in these folks’ blood, and they fight tooth and nail to get back in the ring. Braun Strowman, he’s gonna do the same, I reckon. I heard he’s been working real hard to get his strength back, and once that neck heals up, we might just see him back where he belongs, throwing folks around like nobody’s business.
It’s a hard road to recovery, no doubt about it. But if there’s one thing we know about Braun, it’s that he’s got the heart of a lion. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him back in the ring before too long. WWE fans, they’re all waiting for that moment. They’ve missed their Monster Among Men, and I got a feeling that when he comes back, it’s gonna be one heck of a return. But for now, all we can do is wish him the best and hope he takes good care of himself while that neck heals up.
So, that’s the story of Braun Strowman’s neck surgery. A big ol’ fella with a big ol’ heart, and hopefully, a big ol’ comeback coming up. We’ll be waiting, won’t we?
