You know that Bones Hyland, that basketball player? He plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s a young one, that Bones Hyland. Playin’ in the NBA, that’s the big leagues! He plays point guard, shootin’ guard, whatever them positions is. He’s good, I hear.
That Bones Hyland wingspan, though, that’s what I heard folks talkin’ about. What’s a wingspan? Well, I asked around. Seems it’s how long a fella’s arms is, stretched out wide. Like a bird, I reckon. They measure from one fingertip to the other. They use inches, not feet, I reckon.
This Bones Hyland, he ain’t that tall, maybe 6 foot 2, or 188 of them centimeters. But his arms? They say his wingspan is long, like 6 foot 9 or so! That’s longer than he is tall! He must look like a stick when he stretches his arms out. I hear some of them other NBA players got long arms too, but this Bones Hyland wingspan is somethin’ else, I guess. His arms probably way longer than mine, for sure!
They call him “Bones,” his real name is somethin’ like Nah’Shon. Sounds like a mouthful to me. “Bones” is easier to say. Born on September 14, that makes him a young’un. He plays basketball real good, I suppose. That’s all I hear about.
They say his long arms help him play good. He can shoot the ball over other fellas, ’cause he’s got them long arms. He can reach up high. And on defense, them long arms help him steal the ball. He is from America, that is for sure.
- This Bones Hyland, he got picked to play for a team called the Denver Nuggets.
- He’s a crafty one, whatever that means.
- He went to some school called VCU, whatever that is.
- He’s about 173 pounds or 78 of them kilograms. He ain’t a big fella, but he must be strong.
He’s only 6 foot 2, that Bones Hyland, but that wingspan, they say it’s 6 foot 9. That’s a big difference, ain’t it? I reckon he can reach a whole lot with them long arms. I bet he can reach the top shelf in the kitchen without a stool. I sure can’t.
Now, I don’t know much about this basketball. But I hear folks talkin’ about this Bones Hyland and his wingspan. It’s somethin’ to marvel at, I guess. Long arms on a not-so-tall fella. It’s like them birds with the big wings. They can fly real good. Maybe that’s why he can play basketball so good, too. Them long arms give him an advantage, like.
So, this Bones Hyland, he’s somethin’ special, I reckon. With that wingspan of his, he can do things other folks can’t. It’s like havin’ an extra-long reach. Good for him, I say. He’s makin’ a livin’ playin’ that basketball game. And all that talk about his wingspan, well, it just makes him more famous, I suppose.
Bones Hyland! That’s a name you hear a lot these days. And his wingspan! Well, that is sure something to talk about. That’s all I know about Bones Hyland and his long arms. If you see him playin’ on TV, you just look at them arms. You will see what everyone’s talkin’ about. He’s got that long wingspan, that’s for sure.
I heard all about how they measured his arms, too. They took his shoes off, measured him barefoot, then measured him in his shoes. Barefoot, he was 6 foot 9 and a half. In shoes, he was a little more, 6 foot 10 and three-quarters, I think. And they say his wingspan was 7 foot and a quarter. And standin’ reach, that’s how high he can reach standin’ up, was 9 foot and a half. That is a lot of numbers. But it tells ya, his arms is real long for his body. He’s a curious fella with that Bones Hyland wingspan.
