Alright, let’s gab about these college mascots, you know, the funny critters and fellas what get folks all riled up at the games. I heard some folks callin’ ’em the “best college mascots 2023,” so I figured I’d chime in.
Now, I ain’t been to no fancy college or nothin’, but I seen my share of pictures and such. Some of these mascots, they’re right purdy, and some…well, some look like they crawled outta the woods after a rough night. But hey, that’s what makes ’em fun, I reckon.
Take that Uga fella from the University of Georgia. He’s a bulldog, you know, one of them wrinkly-faced dogs. Been around since, shoot, 1956 they say. That’s a long time for a dog, or a line of dogs I guess. People love that dog, always takin’ pictures and such. He’s gotta be up there as one of the top dogs, no pun intended.
- Uga’s a classic, that’s for sure.
- Folks just love a good bulldog, I guess.
Then there’s this Aubie the Tiger fella. Heard he won some kinda championship, like, eleven times! That’s a whole lotta winnin’ for a tiger. I seen pictures, he’s all orange and stripy, looks like he’s got a good bit of pep in his step. Must be doin’ somethin’ right to win all them championships. He’s another one that folks seem to really like.
Now, I also heard tell of some mascots that ain’t even animals or nothin’. Like, there’s this Pop-Tart mascot. Yep, a Pop-Tart. You know, them little toaster pastries? I guess they got a whole bowl game named after ’em. Don’t have a name, just a Pop-Tart. Kinda strange if you ask me, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
And then there’s talk about this here “Mascot Hall of Fame.” Can you believe it? A whole hall of fame just for mascots! They got this Dugout fella, he’s the mascot for Little League Baseball, won an award for having a big impact on the community. That’s mighty nice of him. And there’s a new one, Olympic Phryge from Paris 2024. Folks say he’s already one of the best, even though he’s brand new. I guess we’ll have to wait and see about that.
So, lookin’ at all these mascots, it’s hard to say who’s the absolute “best.” Everyone’s got their favorites, I reckon. But if you ask me, the best mascot is the one that makes folks happy, gets ’em cheerin’ and havin’ a good time. Whether it’s a bulldog, a tiger, or even a Pop-Tart, it don’t matter much as long as it brings a smile to people’s faces. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? Just havin’ a little fun and rootin’ for your team. And these mascots, well, they’re a big part of that, I tell ya.
I heard some folks did a bunch of lookin’ around, analyzin’ and such, at all the colleges. Picked out fifty of ’em, the best they figured. That’s a lot of schools and a lot of mascots. Must’ve been a tough job, pickin’ just fifty. But it just goes to show ya how many different mascots there are out there, each one with its own special somethin’.
So next time you’re watchin’ a game, keep an eye on them mascots. They’re workin’ hard, dancin’ around, gettin’ the crowd goin’. They’re a part of the whole shebang, the whole experience. And that’s somethin’ worth cheerin’ about, I reckon. Whether they are the “best college mascots 2023” or not, it is all about havin’ some fun.
And remember, it ain’t just about winnin’ or losin’, it’s about havin’ a good time, and these mascots, they sure do help with that. So let’s give ’em a big ol’ round of applause, shall we? They deserve it, every last one of ’em, even that there Pop-Tart.
