Okay, so I was playing Baldur’s Gate 3 the other day, and I got stuck with this highlight thing. I wanted to turn it on and off, you know, to see all the objects I could interact with. It’s pretty handy, but sometimes it gets in the way, right?
First, I was just running around, exploring the world, doing some quests, you know, the usual stuff. Then, I realized I needed to find this specific item for a quest. I remembered there was this highlight feature that could help me spot it. So, I pressed the usual key, I think it was the ‘Alt’ key on my keyboard. Yep, the ‘Alt’ key.
Boom! Everything I could interact with lit up like a Christmas tree. It was super useful. I found the item I was looking for in no time. I grabbed the item and went on with the quest. No problem.
But then, I wanted to turn it off. I was walking through this beautiful area, and I just wanted to enjoy the scenery without all those highlights everywhere. I pressed the ‘Alt’ key again, but this time it did nothing. I kept pressing it, but nothing happened. It just stayed on, which was a bit annoying.
I thought, “Okay, maybe there’s another way to turn it off.” So I went into the game’s settings. I looked through all the options, trying to find something related to the highlight feature. I found the controls section, I found the keybinds, but I couldn’t find a clear option to toggle it. Man, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
After some more digging around, I figured out that it stays on if you hold it. Then it turns off when you let go. That’s how I finally turned it off. Phew! I could finally enjoy the scenery again. To toggle it on or off, you need to tap it.
Here’s what I learned:
- Holding down the ‘Alt’ key keeps the highlight feature on.
- Tapping the ‘Alt’ key turns the highlight feature on and off.
It was a bit of a hassle, but I finally figured it out. Hope this helps someone else who might be having the same issue in Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s a great game, by the way. Even with this little hiccup, I’m still having a blast playing it. I just finished Shadowheart’s quest, which had an amazing story, especially the gauntlet part. Now, I’m off to explore some more, maybe find some cool weapons, or solve some puzzles, and figure out what’s the best class to play!
