I even found out that he left 10% of his estate to some cause, but the details on that were a bit fuzzy. One source mentioned something about pneumonia being related, but the main thing was definitely the throat cancer.
But get this, the dude had been battling cancer for two years! He even traveled around and tried to enjoy himself while fighting it. There was this one quote from TIME magazine, saying he was unforgettable, “even when he struck out.” I thought that was pretty cool.
