Alright, guys, so I wanted to get a Bronto in my single-player Ark game. I’ve been messing around with spawning creatures, and I figured I’d share how I finally managed to spawn a Bronto, ’cause it took a little figuring out.

The First Attempts
Initially, I jumped straight into the command console (you know, hit that Tab key) and typed what I thought was the right command. I tried things like “spawn Dino Bronto” and “admincheat summon Bronto_Character_BP_C”. Nothing. Just… nothing happened. Frustrating, right?
I knew I was probably messing up the command somehow, so I did some digging around online. Turns out, I was way off.
Finding the Right Command
After some searching, I finally found the command that seemed to work for most people. Here’s what I learned:
- You gotta use “admincheat” first. This tells the game you’re, well, cheating.
- Then it’s “Summon” or “SpawnDino”. “Summon” just pops the creature right in front of you. “SpawnDino” gives you a bit more control over where it appears.
- The creature ID is key. For the Bronto, it’s “Bronto_Character_BP_C”. That “_C” at the end is super important, don’t forget it!
- “SpawnDino” needs coordinates and levels. If you use “SpawnDino”, you will need to specify the location and level.
Actually Spawning the Bronto
So, armed with this new knowledge, I went back into the game. I opened the console and typed:
admincheat Summon Bronto_Character_BP_C

And BAM! There it was. A big, beautiful Bronto, right in front of my character. Success!
I also wanted to try the spawn command that lets you place it where ever you want. First, I looked into the sky(this is important or it might spawn inside something), then got the location data by using this command:
admincheat GetPlayerPos
Then used this data, increased the X axis by 500, Bronto Level 150, targeting range of 1000 and used it in this command.
admincheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Bronto/Bronto_Character_*_Character_BP'" 500 0 0 150

The important part! Copy the Brontos Blueprint Path, and replace the last underscore with a period, and the whole thing is wrapped in double quotes with a single quote at each end! The numbers represent: X-Axis, Y-Axis, Z-Axis, and Dino Level.
BOOM! Another Bronto. It works. Happy days!
So yeah, that’s how I did it. It’s pretty simple once you know the correct command. Don’t be like me and spend ages trying the wrong things! Just remember the “admincheat Summon Bronto_Character_BP_C” or “admincheat SpawnDino” command, get the location, and you’re good to go. Good luck spawning your own Brontos, guys!
