Okay, so the other day, I was watching wrestling, you know, WWE, and I started noticing something kinda wild. A lot of these wrestlers, especially the Samoan ones, are all related! It got me thinking, and I went down this rabbit hole, man. It’s all about this one family, the Anoaʻi family.
First off, I started with the basics, just Googling “Anoaʻi family.” I found out that this family is like wrestling royalty, especially in the Samoan Islands. They’ve been in the game for generations. So I made a list of all the names I could find who were part of this family.
- Joe Anoa’i
- Jonathon Solofa Fatu
- Mathew Anoa’i
- Dwayne Johnson
- Joshua Samuel Fatu
- Sam Fatu
- Eddie Fatu
- Solofa Fatu Jr.
Then, I dug deeper. I wanted to see how they’re all connected, you know? Turns out, a lot of them have formed tag teams and groups within WWE. They call one of these groups “The Bloodline.”
I watched some old matches, read some articles, and it’s crazy! This Bloodline group, they’re like a force of nature. They’ve got these guys, The Usos, and then their cousin, Roman Reigns, who’s like a huge star. Also, The Bloodline includes other members like Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
So I started making this chart, right? Trying to map out all the relationships. It’s like this huge family tree, but everyone can body slam each other. I put Roman Reigns at the top ’cause he’s the big name right now. Then I branched out to The Usos, then to Rikishi, and even Yokozuna, who were these huge legends back in the day. I found out they were in the WWE Hall of Fame, too! I guess the Anoa’i Family is just as famous as Canada’s Hart family and Mexico’s Guerrero family in the world of professional wrestling.
My main takeaway from this whole deep dive? Family is everything in this business. These guys, they stick together, they fight together, and they dominate together. It’s pretty inspiring, in a way. It took me nearly a whole day to sort out their relationship, but it’s worth it. I might do a family tree chart image for them next time!
