Okay, so, I got really into this whole Oklahoma Heisman winners thing today. You know, just one of those random deep dives you go on sometimes. Turns out, there’s a bunch of them – seven, to be exact! Who knew, right?
So, I started digging around, just to see who these guys were. I found some stuff, then more stuff, and before I knew it, I was way down the rabbit hole. I ended up spending a good few hours on it, just reading articles, watching old clips, the whole nine yards.
After all that, I figured, “Why not put all this together?” So, I made my own little list of these Oklahoma Heisman winners. Here is what I compiled:

I also learned that this guy, Billy Vessels, was the very first Heisman winner to rush for over 1,000 yards. Pretty cool, huh?
Then, two of the recent ones, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, also won the Heisman back-to-back. That’s got to be some kind of record, right?
It’s crazy to think about how much the Heisman has changed over the years. It used to be this small thing, and now it’s like, the biggest deal in college football. I guess that’s what happens when you have so many legends tied to it, especially from a powerhouse like Oklahoma.
Anyways, that was my day. I learned about Oklahoma football. It was a fun little project, and hey, maybe I’ll do another one of these deep dives soon. Who knows what I’ll get into next time?
