Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting college basketball games. It’s tough, man! But I figured, why not focus on one team and really dig in? So, I picked Alabama A&M. Don’t ask me why, I just did. Today’s all about trying to predict their next game.

Step 1: Finding the Data
First thing I did was try to find some stats. This was harder than I thought! There are so many websites, and it’s tough to know which ones are, you know, good. I spent a good hour just clicking around, trying to find a site that had the info I wanted in a format I could actually understand.
Step 2: Getting My Hands Dirty
I decided, ultimately to look some history game, I needed the numbers! I grabbed a pen and paper (yeah, I’m old school like that) and started jotting down things like:
- Points per game (for and against)
- Recent win/loss record
- Who their opponent is, and how they’ve been doing
It was messy, I’m not gonna lie. My handwriting is terrible, and I kept having to go back and double-check things. But hey, that’s part of the process, right?
Step 3: Making Sense of It All (or Trying To)
After I had a bunch of numbers scribbled down, I tried to, like, analyze them. This is where it gets tricky. I’m no statistician. I basically just looked for patterns. Were they scoring more points lately? Were they winning more at home or away? Stuff like that.
I also considered the opponent. Were they on a winning streak? Did they have any star players I should worry about? It’s all part of the puzzle.

Step 4: The (Totally Unscientific) Prediction
Based on my super sophisticated (not!) analysis, I made a prediction. It was a close one, but I’m guessing Alabama A&M will pull out a win. It’s just a gut feeling, really, based on the numbers and a bit of wishful thinking.
It’s all just for fun, of course. But it’s cool to see if I can actually get it right. It’s like a little experiment, and hey, even if I’m wrong, I learned something along the way, and maybe, I am going to win the bet.
