Alright, so I wanted to mess around with the starting lineup for the Bulls, see what I could come up with. I’m no expert, just a fan, but I thought it’d be fun to share my process.

First off, I gotta say, Michael Jordan is a no-brainer. The guy’s a legend, right? I spent some time looking into his Bulls days, not just the scoring, but also how good he was on defense. Nine times All-Defensive First Team and a Defensive Player of the Year award, the guy was a beast on both ends of the court! I knew I had to build around him, so I put him in the SG position.
Next, I started digging into the current roster. I went on to check out the player list for the 2024-25 season. I saw some familiar names like Lonzo Ball and Jevon Carter. I also got a look at some new faces like Matas Buzelis. I think I spent like an hour just browsing through all their stats and info.
- Lonzo Ball, PG, 27 years old, 6’6″
- Matas Buzelis, F, 20 years old, 6’10”
- Jevon Carter, PG, 29 years old, 6’1″
- Torrey Craig, SF, 34 years old, 6’6″
After that, I moved onto another player I read about – Clint Capela. This guy seems like a solid center, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds against the Bulls. So, I decided to slot him in as our Center. I figured he could do some damage down low.
Making Tough Choices
Then came the hard part. I saw some talk online about whether to start Ayo Dosunmu. There are some pros for him, but then who would I leave out? The net says Giddey is the main playmaker. Man, this was tougher than I thought. I went back and forth on this for a while. I even started sketching out different lineups on a piece of paper, moving players around like chess pieces. In the end, I decided to keep Giddey as the starting PG.
Finally, I had to figure out the rest. I decided to go with a mix of experience and young talent. I picked Torrey Craig for SF cause he’s got the experience, and I’m hoping Matas Buzelis can bring some fresh energy as our PF. It’s a bit of a gamble, but I like the potential. I spent a good chunk of the evening tweaking this, looking at different combinations, and seeing what felt right.

So, there you have it. My personal take on a possible Bulls starting lineup. It took me a few hours of reading, thinking, and rearranging, but it was a fun little exercise. I’m sure others will have different ideas, but that’s the beauty of it, right? It’s all about opinions and what you think will work best. I’m just a regular fan, sharing my thoughts and how I got there. Hope you enjoyed the ride!
