This boy, Ray-Ray Armstrong, what a name, huh? Sounds like somethin’ outta one of them cowboy movies. He’s a big fella, that Ray-Ray. Used to play football, I heard. Big football star, they say.
He was a big deal back in high school, down in Florida. I heard folks talkin’ ’bout him all the time. He played for Seminole High School, that’s what they called it. Sounds kinda familiar, don’t it?
Ray-Ray Armstrong High School Days
- He was a big shot.
- Everyone wanted him to play for their team.
- They called him a five-star something. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
- Played in Florida, that’s what I heard.
He was so good, that Ray-Ray Armstrong, that he went on to play for some big-time college. Miami, I think it was. Yeah, Miami. Big city, lots of folks, nothin’ like ’round here. He played some kinda game there, football I reckon. They called him a safety. He was supposed to be real fast, like a rabbit runnin’ from a fox.
He was a big boy, too. Tall and strong, like a young oak tree. They say he was 6-foot-4. That’s taller than my old man was! And he weighed a good 215 pounds. Pure muscle, I bet. He could probably lift a whole cow if he wanted to.
Ray-Ray Armstrong in College
- Played for Miami, that big college.
- He was a safety, whatever that means.
- Fast as a wild cat.
- Strong as a bull, that’s for sure.
But somethin’ happened, I don’t rightly know what. Heard some whispers ’bout it. They said he got into some trouble. Got kicked off the team, or somethin’ like that. Shame, ain’t it? Such a waste of talent. All that potential, just gone.
Heard he went on to play for some other teams after that. Seattle something I think. They just call him Ray-Ray now, I guess. Not sure what team he is on now though. He was good, I remember that.
But you know, that’s how life is sometimes. Full of ups and downs. One minute you’re on top of the world, the next you’re down in the dirt. Just gotta pick yourself up and keep on goin’. That’s what my mama used to say.
What Happened to Ray-Ray?
- He got into some trouble, that’s all I know.
- Got kicked off the team, poor boy.
- Went to play somewhere else after that.
- Life’s got its ups and downs.
That Ray-Ray Armstrong, he was somethin’ else. A real specimen, they called him. Fast and strong, like a wild horse. Could run like the wind, they said. Could hit like a ton of bricks, too.
I wonder where he is now, that Ray-Ray. Hope he’s doin’ alright. Hope he found his way. Life can be tough sometimes, especially for a young fella like him. Gotta have a good head on your shoulders, that’s what I always say.
He was livin’ near where he played high school ball, I think it was within 100 miles or somethin’. He was popular around those parts for sure.
Well, that’s all I know ’bout that Ray-Ray Armstrong. Just a big, strong boy who used to play football. Hope he’s doin’ okay, wherever he is. May the good Lord watch over him, that’s what I say.
It’s a shame what happened to him, getting kicked out and all. Some say it was for something bad, some say it weren’t that bad. Who knows what’s the truth anymore. People talk, rumors fly, you never know what to believe these days. All I know is, he was a good football player, that Ray-Ray. Fast and strong, like a wildcat. Hope he’s doin’ alright out there, wherever he ended up.
They say he’s a linebacker now. Sounds like some kind of soldier or somethin’. Big and tough, I bet. Probably still knock the wind outta ya if you ran into him. Heard he was playin’ for a team in Seattle. That’s way up north, ain’t it? Cold up there, I reckon. Not like here in the south. He probably misses the warm weather.
Well, that’s all I got to say about that Ray-Ray Armstrong fella. Just another young man tryin’ to make his way in the world. Hope he finds what he’s lookin’ for. And I hope he stays outta trouble this time. Lord knows, we all make mistakes. It’s what you do after that counts. That’s what my daddy always said, anyway.
