You know, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this thing, WWE Charleston. Sounds like a whole lot of hullabaloo if you ask me. But my grandson, he’s all excited about it, says it’s wrestlin’.
Wrestlin’ in Charleston
Seems like this WWE thing is comin’ to Charleston. They say it’s a big deal. Lots of folks gettin’ all riled up for it. They say it’s gonna be at that big buildin’ where they do all those shows, the coliseum or somethin’ like that, yeah, the Charleston Coliseum.
My grandson, he showed me pictures. Big strong fellas, all jumpin’ around. Reminds me of when my old man used to wrestle with the hogs down on the farm. More show than a fight, I reckon. But hey, people like it. They been talking about it for weeks now, this WWE live event.
What’s This WWE All About?
This WWE in Charleston, it’s like a show, I guess. They got all these different wrestlers, with names like… oh, what was it? One of ’em is called Cody Rhodes, like the color. Another one is Seth Rollins. Sounds like a fella you’d find down at the feed store. And a woman named Rhea Ripley. My grandson says she is the WWE Women’s World Champion, whatever that is. And also Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, and a bunch more I can’t rightly recall.
They jump around, and slam each other down, and the crowd goes wild. Like a bunch of chickens at feedin’ time. They told me it will be the first time Seth Rollins defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Charleston. I don’t know what that means, but the boy was real excited about it.
- Big, strong fellas
- Jumpin’ and yellin’
- Lots of noise
- People seem to like it
Is it Worth Goin’ To?
Now, I ain’t one for all that noise and carryin’ on. But if you like that sort of thing, I reckon it’s worth a look-see. My grandson, he’s savin’ up his money for a ticket. Says it’s gonna be the best night of his life. Well, maybe not the best, but close. I guess it’s like goin’ to the county fair, but with more muscles.
They say these shows, they can go on for a long time. Like sittin’ through Sunday service twice. But they got breaks, I hear. Time to get a soda pop and stretch your legs. Like that thing they call, uh, intermission.
Seein’ Your Favorite Wrestlers
I guess the big draw is seein’ these WWE Superstars in person. Like seein’ a movie star walkin’ down the street. Except these fellas, they’re throwin’ each other around instead of signin’ autographs. And it seems that they are coming from SmackDown.
They got all these special moves, my grandson tells me. Like when they pick a fella up and slam him down. He calls it a “powerbomb” or a “suplex”. Sounds painful to me. But the wrestlers, they’re used to it. Like gettin’ bucked off a horse, I suppose. I heard them saying it’s like a TV taping, whatever that means.
When Is This Thing Happenin’?
Now, if you’re thinkin’ of goin’, you better get your tickets. It seems this WWE Sunday Stunner is happening in June or so. But this one they call WWE Live, I think it’s in September. Best check the paper or ask someone who knows about these things. They said the Sunday Stunner Supershow will start at 5 p.m., I don’t know when the WWE Live will start.
And they say it’s gonna be a good time for the kids, too. They give away things, and there’s all sorts of excitement. Kinda like the Dancing with the Stars I heard they had a while ago.
WWE: A Big Deal, I Guess
This WWE in Charleston, WV, it’s a big deal, I guess. Lots of folks are talkin’ about it. It ain’t my cup of tea, but I can see why people like it. It’s loud, it’s excitin’, and it’s somethin’ different. This World Wrestling Entertainment thing sure has gotten popular.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, and you like a lot of noise and action, maybe this WWE Charleston is for you. Just remember to bring your earplugs, and maybe a cushion for your seat. And don’t forget to buy your tickets ahead of time, especially if you’re bringing the young ones. They’ll be disappointed if they miss out on all the fun.
Oh, and one more thing. They say this WWE Raw thing is on TV every Monday, and this WWE SmackDown is on every Friday. Both at 8 p.m., I think. So, if you can’t make it to Charleston, you can always watch it on the television, I reckon. The WWE Raw is 3 hours long, it’s very long.
