- Think about what the clue means. Like I said, if it’s somethin’ you eat, it ain’t gonna be “table,” right? Gotta use your noodle.
- Count the letters. Them little squares, they tell ya how many letters the word’s got. So if it’s got five squares, you ain’t gonna put in a ten-letter word. This is important for getting that guessed crossword clue.
- Look at the other words. Sometimes the other words in the puzzle, they give ya hints. Like if you got a word that ends in “E,” and the clue you’re workin’ on crosses it, well then you know that letter’s gotta be an “E.”
