Charlie Woods and His Caddie
They was playin’ down in Orlando, at some fancy place, Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, fancy name. Heard they was playin’ there last year, too. That Tiger Woods, he sure loves his golf, don’t he? And now his boy, Charlie, he’s playin’ too. They say he’s gettin’ good, that Charlie. Gettin’ real good.
So this year, this Charlie Woods, he’s got his sister, Sam, as his caddie. That means she’s carryin’ his clubs and all that. Imagine that, your sister bein’ your caddie. They must be close, those two.
- Charlie Woods, he’s playin’ golf.
- Tiger Woods, he’s his daddy.
- Sam Woods, she’s his sister, and his caddie now.
They was playin’ in some big tournament, PNC Championship, I hear them sayin’. Lots of folks watchin’, I bet. And that Charlie, he’s just a young’un. Must be somethin’, playin’ in front of all them people. But he’s got his daddy there, Tiger Woods, so I reckon he ain’t too scared.
Tiger and Charlie, Playin’ Together
They say Tiger and Charlie, they play good together. Like two peas in a pod, them two. Tiger, he’s showin’ Charlie all the tricks, I bet. And Charlie, he’s learnin’ fast. They got some new clubs, too. Some fancy brand called, uh, TaylorMade. New driver. Must be somethin’ special with that new driver.
They almost won, you know. Almost won that whole tournament. Came in second, they say. Lost to some other folks, some Team Langer. Never heard of them, but they must be good, too. But almost winnin’, that’s somethin’ for a young fella like Charlie Woods. And his daddy, Tiger, I bet he’s proud. Real proud.
And that Sam, she’s right there with ’em. Carryin’ them clubs, helpin’ out her brother. Good girl, that Sam. Tiger Woods raised her right. Raised ’em both right. Family that plays together, stays together, they say. And that’s what they are, that Woods family. A family.
Sam Woods, Caddie for Charlie
Now, that Sam, she ain’t just carryin’ clubs. They say she’s givin’ advice, too. Tellin’ Charlie where to hit the ball and all that. Imagine that, your sister tellin’ you what to do. But I reckon Charlie, he listens. She’s his big sister, after all. And she’s Tiger Woods’ daughter, so she probably knows a thing or two about golf. It is a new thing though, to have a girl caddie for her brother. Not something you see often.
They say Tiger asked Charlie if he wanted to be his caddie all the time. Carry his clubs for him in all the tournaments. But Charlie, he’s got his own golf to play. Can’t be carryin’ his daddy’s clubs all the time. Got his own dreams, that Charlie. And I bet he’s gonna be a big star, just like his daddy.
- Sam Woods, she’s a good caddie.
- She helps Charlie with his game.
- Charlie, he’s gonna be a good golfer, just like Tiger.
