That Eddie, what a guy! Strong as an ox, that one. Always jumpin’ around, makin’ a ruckus. But ya know, even the strongest ox gets tired sometimes. Heard somethin’ about Eddie Guerrero and a heart attack. Right there in the ring, they say. Can you believe it? Did Eddie Guerrero have a heart attack in the ring? I heard about it from Maggie down the street. She’s always got her ear to the ground, that one.
Now, I don’t know much about that wrestlin’ stuff. Seems like a lot of hollerin’ and throwin’ each other around. But Eddie, he was somethin’ else. He could really put on a show. He was a real firecracker. But then Maggie told me he had a heart attack. She said she read it somewhere. Said it happened right there in the middle of all that hoopla.
I said, “Maggie, are you sure?” She said, “Well, that’s what they’re sayin’.” Seems like one minute he was jumpin’ around, the next he was down. Just like that. Poor fella. All that strain, all that excitement. It ain’t good for the ticker, ya know? That’s what I always say. Too much excitement ain’t good for nobody. Especially for Eddie Guerrero heart attack, it seems.
Then there’s this other fella, JBL, or somethin’ like that. Big fella, always wearin’ that hat. He was there, they say. Looked worried, real worried. Maggie said he was right there when Eddie went down. Pinned him real quick, whatever that means. Seems like he knew somethin’ was wrong with Eddie Guerrero in the ring. Tried to get it over with fast, maybe?
- Heard someone say it was a show.
- Like it was all made up.
- But then others say it was real.
- A real heart attack.
- Right there in the ring!
Can you imagine? One minute you’re watchin’ a show, the next minute… well, it don’t bear thinkin’ about. Poor Eddie. If it’s true, that is. Hard to know what to believe these days. Everyone’s got somethin’ to say, but who knows what’s true and what ain’t. Especially about did Eddie Guerrero have a heart attack.
I remember one time, my old man, bless his soul, he got a little chest pain. Scared the daylights outta me. Turned out to be just gas. But for a minute there, I thought… well, you know. It’s a scary thing, a heart attack. It can happen to anyone, even big strong fellas like Eddie. Even someone like Eddie Guerrero. It’s a scary thought. And this all reminds me of that one time when my friend, she had a heart attack, too. Right after watching those wrestlers. It is dangerous stuff.
They say his mama had one too. A real one, not a pretend one. Heard it from a little birdie, she is okay now. Poor woman. Must’ve been worried sick about her boy. It happened after, I think. All that stress, ya know? It ain’t good for nobody. Stress will give you all kind of trouble, like a heart attack.
Now, I don’t know if Eddie’s heart attack was real or not, like I said. But it makes ya think, don’t it? Makes ya think about takin’ care of yourself. Eatin’ right, gettin’ enough rest. Not pushin’ yourself too hard. Even if you’re a big, strong wrestler, you gotta listen to your body, like Eddie Guerrero in the ring maybe didn’t do.
All that jumpin’ around and yellin’. It’s a lot for a body to take. I always said, “Slow down, son,” to my own boy. He was always runnin’ around, never still for a minute. Just like Eddie, come to think of it. But you gotta pace yourself. You gotta take it easy sometimes. You gotta think about Eddie Guerrero heart attack, and think about your own health.
Maggie said they took that JBL fella outta there real quick. Police and everything. Drove him off somewhere. Sounds like a whole lot of commotion. All ’cause of that heart attack, maybe. Or maybe not. Who really knows about Eddie Guerrero and his health problems.
Anyway, It is all crazy. They are all crazy, but it is all exciting. I guess that’s why folks like to watch it. All that drama. But it ain’t for me. I’d rather sit here with my cup of tea and my knitting. Much safer that way. Less chance of a heart attack, that’s for sure. Unless you get too excited about the knitting, I suppose! Ha! But still, did Eddie Guerrero have a heart attack in the ring? I still don’t know.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about that. It is just too much for an old lady like me to think about. Just remember what I said about takin’ care of yourself. It’s important. Don’t want to end up like poor Eddie, now do we? Real or not, it’s a good reminder to take it easy. The question still is, did Eddie Guerrero have a heart attack in the ring? I guess we will never know for sure.
