Well, lemme tell ya, this young fella, Evan Carter, he’s gonna be somethin’. I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout his, uh, “projections.” Sounds fancy, but it’s just guessin’ what he’s gonna do, right? They say he is gonna win that “Rookie of the Year” thing. Whatever that is. He’s good, I reckon, good enough to be a champion.
This boy, playin’ for the Texas Rangers, he is. They say he can hit that ball real good. And run fast, too. He must be eatin’ his vegetables! I heard some numbers, like .259 somethin’ somethin’ .412. Don’t rightly know what they all mean, but it sounds good, don’t it?
- He’s gonna play left field, I hear.
- He’s only 21 years old! Still a baby.
- He is gonna win that rookie thing.
They got all these fancy names for things, “fantasy baseball” and “consensus rankings”. Back in my day, we just played ball. Didn’t need no fancy names. But these young folks, they like their fancy stuff. They even have a podcast, whatever that is. And they do a draft. Not like a draft beer, but a draft to pick the best players.
This Evan Carter, he’s one of them top “prospects.” That means he’s supposed to be real good. I reckon he is. He’s already a champion, they say! At 21! Can you believe that? That’s somethin’ special. So I think the Evan Carter projections are good.
They say he’s got a “well-rounded skillset.” Sounds like he can do a little bit of everything. That’s good in a ballplayer. You gotta be able to hit and run and catch. He probably catches like a dream, that one. And I bet he’s got a good arm, too. You need a good arm in the outfield. Especially in that left field.
This “ADP” thing, they say it went up to 127. Sounds like a lot. Must be important. All these numbers, it’s hard to keep track. But the important thing is, this boy can play. And he’s gonna be a star. You just wait and see. Evan Carter, remember that name.
I don’t know nothin’ about this “fantasy baseball” thing, but it sounds like somethin’ the grandkids would be into. They’re always on their phones, playin’ games. Maybe they can play with Evan Carter in their game. That would be somethin’, wouldn’t it?
Now, I’m not one for all this newfangled stuff. I like my baseball simple. But I can tell this Evan Carter is somethin’ special. I think these Evan Carter projections are real good. He’s got that look in his eye, you know? Like he’s gonna go out there and give it his all. And that’s all you can ask for. That’s why he is gonna be the Rookie of the Year.
They got him as one of the top five “outfield prospects” in this “fantasy baseball”. He must be really good to be one of the top five. There are a lot of young fellas playing baseball. He must have a lot of skills. That’s good, you need a lot of skills to be one of the best.
So, you keep an eye on this Evan Carter. He’s gonna be a big star. He is just a kid now, but he is gonna be good. He’s gonna make the Texas Rangers proud. And he’s gonna make all of us who like baseball proud, too. Just you wait and see. These Evan Carter projections? They are good, real good.
That Langford boy is good too, I reckon. But this here is about Evan Carter. He is the one to watch, I am telling ya. He is young and good. He will be the best one day. You just gotta watch and see. He is the best of the best.
