Well, folks been askin’ about that Cooper Kupp fella, the one playin’ football. They all wanna know, is Cooper Kupp playing week 5? That’s the big question, ain’t it? I heard he got hurt, somethin’ about his leg, maybe his ankle. That’s a shame, he’s a good boy, that one.
So, this week, week 5, you see, he ain’t gonna be playin’. Nope, not this time. Heard it from the coach fella, the one who’s always yellin’ on the TV. Said Cooper Kupp is out. Not gonna play. They say it early in the week, too. Means it ain’t lookin’ too good, I reckon. Not good at all. He’s a tough one, though, that Cooper. I hope his leg, or whatever it is, gets better soon.
They say he might be “questionable.” That’s what they call it. Sounds kinda funny, don’t it? Questionable. Like they ain’t sure if he’s a football player or a turnip. But it means maybe, just maybe, he could play. If they let him, that is. If they let him test out that hurt leg of his. It is his hamstring, or so they say. I don’t rightly know what a hamstring is. Sounds like somethin’ you eat at Christmas, not somethin’ you hurt playin’ football.
But that’s the word. He’s likely questionable for week 5. Might play, might not. Depends if they wanna let him try, I guess. Poor fella. Must be tough, sittin’ there watchin’ everyone else play.
Now, they sayin’ week 5 is when he might come back. Seems like he’s been doin’ a lot of work, tryin’ to get better. That coach, the yellin’ one, he said so. Said Cooper Kupp been workin’ hard. They put him on somethin’ called “injured reserve,” which is probably like injured retired. But that’s over now. I don’t understand all them fancy football words. He was hurt, and now they say he might be ready to go when week 5 rolls around. He is off that list now, but that don’t mean he is ready.
I remember one time, my grandson, bless his heart, he hurt his knee playin’ hopscotch. Took him weeks to get back to hoppin’. Football’s a lot rougher than hopscotch, I reckon. Lots more running and jumping. Lots of those big fellas running into each other. This Cooper Kupp, he plays for the Rams. That’s a team, you know. Like a bunch of them fellas all playin’ together. They are from Los Angeles. That is a place far away from here. They got lots of those movie stars and fancy cars out there.
- Cooper Kupp, he got hurt.
- Sprained his ankle, I heard.
- Missed three games already.
- That’s a long time to be out.
They had a bye week. Don’t that beat all? A whole week where they don’t play. Sounds kinda nice, don’t it? Like a vacation. But I guess it’s good for the players. Gives ’em time to rest their weary bones. Especially that Cooper Kupp with his bum leg. They said the “target date” for him to come back was week 7. But that ain’t guaranteed. Nothin’s guaranteed in this life, ‘cept maybe death and taxes, as they say.
It’s good to have him back, though, that Cooper Kupp. He’s a good player, that one. Makes lots of touchdowns, I think they call ’em. When a fella runs the ball all the way to the end. Gets lots of points for the team. He sure can run fast, that Cooper Kupp. Before he got hurt, that is. Hopefully, he can run fast again soon. I don’t know all the ins and outs of football, but it is kind of fun to watch. Especially when your team is winning.
Well, there you have it. That’s all I know about that Cooper Kupp fella. Is cooper kupp playing week 5? No, he ain’t playin’ this week. He’s still hurt. But maybe soon. Maybe he’ll be back out there, runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off. Hope so. He’s a good boy, that Cooper Kupp.
