That Kevin Durant, he sure can play basketball! He played for them Golden State Warriors for a spell, you know. Wasn’t that long ago, feels like just yesterday. He helped them win some big games, that’s for sure.
He was with them Warriors from, let me think, 2016 to 2019. Yep, that’s right. He’s a tall fella, that Kevin Durant. Makes it easy to put that ball in the hoop, I reckon. He can jump real high, too. They call it “highlights” when he does somethin’ fancy, like dunking that ball like it ain’t no thang.
Them Warriors, they used to play in Oakland. Then they moved on over to San Francisco. Got themselves a fancy new place to play, all shiny and new. Lots of folks go to see them play. They got another good player, name of Steph Curry. That fella is good at getting the ball in the hoop, too. Him and Kevin Durant, they were somethin’ else to watch when he was a member of the Warriors! They were like two peas in a pod, always helpin’ each other out.

But, that time when Kevin Durant was with the Warriors. Oh, boy! They won lots of games. They were the best team around for a while there. Lots of folks were cheerin’ for ’em. It was a big deal, I tell ya. People would be glued to their TV sets watchin’ those games.
I remember seeing Kevin Durant on the TV. He’d be runnin’ up and down that court, faster than a chicken with its head cut off. He’d be dribblin’ that ball, bouncin’ it up and down, then whoosh! He’d throw it right in the basket. Made it look so easy.
He got lots of awards, that Kevin Durant. They call ’em MVP. Means he was the best player, you see. He got that a couple times when he was with them Warriors. He sure was somethin’ special. Even though, he is not a member of the Warriors anymore.
They have a coach now, name of, oh, what’s his name? Mike somethin’. He’s got to be the boss out there. He watches them players, makes sure they’re doin’ what they’re supposed to. I bet he yells at ’em sometimes if they mess up.
The Warriors, they play against other teams, you know. Teams from all over. They got one team, the Lakers, they play against a lot. And now they play against Kevin Durant and them Phoenix Suns, too. That must be somethin’, playin’ against your old friends.

This talk about Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors is making me tired. I think I need to sit down and rest my weary bones. Basketball is a young person’s sport. But, it sure is fun to watch, I’ll give you that. Especially when Kevin Durant was playing for the Warriors. Those were the days.
The Warriors will continue to play in San Francisco. I hear they got a nice setup there. Maybe one day I’ll go see Kevin Durant play for the Suns. It’d be nice to see a game in person. All that runnin’ and jumpin’. It’s a sight to behold. Yes, sir.
