Well, let me tell ya, this thing with young Keith Miller III, it’s just plain sad. Real sad. He was just a young fella, only 23, and gone too soon. Heard tell he played football, wide receiver they called it, for them Colorado Buffaloes and then Texas A&M University-Commerce. A good player, they say, even a captain.
Now, I don’t know much about this college football stuff, but I know a young life cut short when I hear it. They found him in his apartment, they did. Just like that, gone. Makes you think, it does. Makes you hug your own young’uns a little tighter.
- Twenty-three years old, that’s just a baby.
- He played that football, ran real fast I bet.
- And he was a captain, leading the other fellas.
Folks are mournin’ him, the fans and his teammates, and his loved ones. I reckon that’s natural. He was one of their own. It’s like losing a piece of your own family, even if you ain’t never met him. That’s how it is in them close-knit communities, I hear.
Texas A&M University-Commerce, that’s where he was playing most recently. They put out a statement, real sad-like. Said they were heartbroken by his “unexpected passing.” Unexpected, that’s the word they used. Guess nobody saw it comin’. Makes it even harder, I imagine.
They say he was a student-athlete. So, not just playing football, but learnin’ too. That’s good, real good. Shows he had a good head on his shoulders, not just good legs for runnin’. A young man with a bright future, or so it seemed. It’s a crying shame, it is.
This Keith Miller III, he must’ve been somethin’ special. Folks keep talkin’ about him, writin’ about him. They wouldn’t be doin’ that if he was just some ordinary fella. He must’ve touched a lot of lives, you know? Made a difference, even if it was just for a short while.
It just goes to show ya, life’s a precious thing. Here today, gone tomorrow. You gotta appreciate what you got, the people you love, the time you have. Don’t take nothin’ for granted, ’cause you never know when it might be taken away. This young Keith Miller, he probably had big plans, big dreams. And now… well, now he’s gone.
I heard some folks sayin’ he was a star. A football star. But even stars fall, I guess. Or maybe they just shine brighter somewhere else. Maybe he’s up there now, lookin’ down on us, runnin’ across some heavenly field. Who knows?
But down here on earth, we’re left with a hole, a sadness. A young man lost too soon. And all we can do is remember him, honor him, and maybe learn a little somethin’ from his passin’. Life’s short, so make it count. That’s what I reckon anyway.
And this Keith Miller III, even though I never knew him, I won’t forget him. He’s a reminder to cherish every day, every moment. And to hold your loved ones close. ‘Cause you never know when you might have to say goodbye. And that, my friends, is the saddest truth of all. Rest in peace, young Keith. Rest in peace. You were gone far too soon.
