Well, let me tell you ’bout this Cody Savage fella and his wrestling. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen a thing or two, and I can tell ya, this boy’s somethin’ else. Cody Savage wrestling, that’s what they call it, and it’s got folks talkin’, I tell ya.
Now, I don’t know much about these fancy wrestlin’ moves, but I seen this Cody fella throwin’ folks around like rag dolls. He’s strong as an ox, that one. They say he’s got a record, somethin’ like 31 wins and only 5 losses. That’s a whole lotta wins, ain’t it? And 20 pins? Lordy, that means he’s slammin’ ’em down on their backs, quick and hard. Folks call ’em “pins,” I guess. He’s got a bunch of them “techs” too, eleven of ‘em. Don’t ask me what that means, but it sounds important. No “majors” though, whatever that is.
I hear tell he’s been wrestlin’ since way back, at least since December of 2023 they been keepin’ track. They got videos and all, showin’ him doin’ his thing. Folks like watchin’ him, I guess. Over four thousand views they say. That’s more folks than I seen in my whole town, I reckon.

Seems like he wrestles for some kinda club, Ranger 47 Wrestling Club, somethin’ like that. I saw a picture, or maybe it was a video, of him wrestlin’ against some fella from the Cowboy Wrestling Club. Cody won that one, beat the fella at 155 pounds. Then he wrestled another fella, Abraham Gonzales, at 165 pounds in the semifinal. Don’t know if he won that one or not, but he sure looked tough.
Folks are sharin’ videos of him all over, with their friends and family, just like they share gossip at the church potluck. This one video had over a thousand likes and a bunch of comments. People callin’ him a “savage.” Well, I guess he is, the way he wrestles. He’s got that fire in his belly, you know? Like my ol’ rooster when he sees a hen.
I heard a story ’bout his daddy, Dusty Rhodes. Said he was a wrestler too, a famous one. When he passed on, it lit a fire under Cody, they say. Made him leave somethin’ called WWE and go “All In” on himself. Sounds like somethin’ my grandson would say. Young folks and their fancy words. But it means he went his own way, did things his own way.
So, this Cody Savage wrestling thing, it’s a big deal, I guess. He’s got the strength, the skill, and the heart. And folks love watchin’ him. He’s got the fans, yeah, fans. They cheer for him and follow him everywhere he goes. Reminds me of how folks used to gather ’round for the county fair, watchin’ the strongman competition. Only this is a whole lot more excitin’, I reckon. He’s strong, that boy is, strong and fierce.
This Cody Savage ain’t just winnin’ matches; he’s entertainin’ folks. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? Givin’ folks somethin’ to cheer for, somethin’ to talk about.
