Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Man United versus Chelsea thing. It’s a big game, folks say. Big, big game. They gonna kick the ball around on Sunday, yeah, this Sunday comin’ up. November 3rd, they say. Don’t ask me what year, they all blend together like mashed potatoes.
Some fella named Ruud, somethin’ or other… Van Nister-something, he’s the coach for Man United now. Just for a bit, they say. He’s fillin’ in. Like when your neighbor’s cow wanders off and you gotta watch their chickens for a while. Anyways, he won the last game, so folks are kinda happy ’bout that. Keeps ’em from grumblin’ too much, you know?
They gonna play this game at Old Trafford. That’s in Manchester, I hear. Big place, lots of people yellin’ and screamin’. Sounds like a hog auction to me, but they say it’s excitin’. Kickoff is at 4:30 in the afternoon, their time. For us, I guess it’s whenever the chickens are fed and the chores are done.
Now, these two teams, Man United and Chelsea… they been goin’ at it for a long time. Sixty times in somethin’ they call the “Premier League”. Sounds fancy, huh? Man United, they won 17 times, and Chelsea, they won 18. A whole bunch of times, they just tied, like two stubborn mules pullin’ in opposite directions. Twenty-five ties, they say. That’s a lot of not winnin’ if you ask me.
They got some fellas on the Man United team… Maz-something might play, and this Lisandro fella, he’s supposed to be good at stoppin’ the other team. And that Hojlund boy, he’s gonna try to kick the ball into the net. That’s the whole point, ain’t it? Get that ball in the net more times than the other fellas.
- Game Day: Sunday, November 3rd, 2024
- Kickoff Time: 4:30 PM local time (that’s 11:30 AM for the city folks and 8:30 AM for them out west)
- Where they playin’: Old Trafford (Manchester, you know)
- Who’s coachin’ Man United: That Ruud fella, just for now
This Amorim fella, he’s supposed to be the new coach for Man United, signed a contract till 2027, but he ain’t gonna be there on Sunday. Still that Ruud guy. Guess Amorim’s got other things to do, like milkin’ cows or somethin’. I dunno.
Heard tell you can watch the game on somethin’ called “Sky Sports Main Event” or “Sky Go UK”. Sounds like one of them fancy city contraptions. Me? I’ll probably be out feedin’ the chickens. But if you like watchin’ fellas run around kickin’ a ball, well, there ya go.
These Chelsea and Man United folks, they been playin’ each other since way back in 1995. Played 76 times! Chelsea won 24, Man United won 22, and like I said, lots of ties. They scored a bunch of goals too. Chelsea scored 99, Man United scored 100. Pretty close, huh? Just like countin’ eggs, almost.
So, that’s the lowdown on this Man United versus Chelsea game. It’s gonna be a big deal for some folks, a lot of yellin’ and cheerin’, and then it’ll be over. Just like any other Sunday, except maybe with more folks talkin’ about kickin’ a ball. And that’s all there is to it, plain and simple.
