Now, the real juicy bit. This girl, Susana Kalish, that’s her name. Some folks say wife, some say girlfriend. To me, it’s all the same. She’s his woman, that’s what matters. She’s a smart cookie, this one. Went to college at UC Davis and studied somethin’ called neuroscience, physiology, and conduct. Sounds like a mouthful, eh? Born in ’98, just a year younger than Lars. They been together since way back in 2012. Young love, that’s what it is.
She’s always there, it seems, cheerin’ him on. A good woman, stands by her man. That’s how it should be, I always say. They seem happy enough, those two. Always smilin’ in them pictures.
What About That Money?
Now, this baseball business, it pays good money, or so I hear. This Lars fella, he signed a contract for somethin’ like $761,000. Can you believe it? That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life! Good for him, I say. He works hard, deserves a good livin’. Susana, she’s probably got her own money too, with all that fancy learnin’ she did. They ain’t hurting for cash, that’s for sure.
That Nasty Injury
Heard tell Lars got himself hurt somethin’ fierce. Tried to catch a ball and twisted himself all up. Landed hard on his elbow and forearm. Poor fella, must’ve hurt somethin’ awful. Been out of the game since then. Hope he gets better soon. Baseball’s a tough game, lots of runnin’ and jumpin’ and twistin’. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
