Alright, listen up, you young whippersnappers. You wanna know how to get traded in that there MLB The Show 24 game? It ain’t as easy as pie, that’s for sure. Back in my day, things were simpler, but these newfangled games, they got all sorts of tricks and turns.
First off, you gotta understand this ain’t no magic trick. You can’t just snap your fingers and end up on a new team. You gotta work for it, see? Just like in real life, them baseball teams, they ain’t gonna take just anybody. You gotta be worth somethin’.
Now, one way folks say you can do it is through your agent. But hold your horses, it ain’t that simple. You can’t just call him up whenever you feel like it. Nope, he’s gotta call you, and that only happens maybe once or twice a year, in a cutscene, fancy talk for a little movie in the game. When he calls, that’s your chance to tell him you’re itching to move. Gotta be quick though, like catching a greased pig.
Another thing you can try, and this one’s a bit sneaky, is to act like a real pain in the neck to your manager. You know, complain a lot, don’t listen, maybe even kick dirt on his shoes… metaphorically speakin’, of course. Don’t go breakin’ your controller now. If you make enough of a fuss, the manager might just get fed up and try to ship you off to another team. It’s like gettin’ rid of a bad egg, see?
But here’s the kicker, and this is important. You can only get traded if you got a contract. Makes sense, right? Can’t be tradin’ somethin’ you don’t own. And there’s a time limit too. Trades can only happen between two days after the World Series ends and July 31st. After that, you’re stuck ’til next year, like a fly in honey.
Now, I heard tell there’s a way to force trades in the game. Something about goin’ into the settings, under somethin’ called “Gameplay Options,” and turnin’ on “Force Trades.” Then you can propose any trade you want, and the computer, well, it just has to say yes. It’s like havin’ a cheat code, but don’t tell nobody I told you that. Some folks think it’s cheatin’, but hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
But here’s the rub, some folks online, they’re sayin’ the game makers, those SDS fellas, they took out the part where you can just ask for a trade. Can you believe that? Took it right out! Makes things a whole lot harder, if you ask me. But I reckon they got their reasons, though I can’t for the life of me figure out what they are. Just makes things more complicated, like tryin’ to teach a chicken to sing.
So, if you want to get traded in MLB The Show 24, you gotta be patient, play hard, maybe act a little wild, and hope for the best. It ain’t a sure thing, but if you keep at it, you might just find yourself wearin’ a new uniform. And if all else fails, try that “Force Trades” thing, but don’t come cryin’ to me if folks call you a cheater. You been warned!
- Remember to play well to increase your trade value.
- Be strategic about when and how you ask for a trade.
- Don’t be afraid to try different methods.
And that’s all there is to it, as far as I can tell. This game, it’s got more twists and turns than a country road, but if you’re determined enough, you’ll figure it out. Now go on, get playin’, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll land yourself on a team that appreciates you. And if not, well, there’s always next year, ain’t there?
Remember to keep your ears open too, sometimes you hear about new ways to do things from other players, maybe on the internet or from your friends. It’s like sharing recipes, everyone has their own special way of doing things.
Good luck to ya, and don’t forget to have fun! It’s just a game after all, though sometimes it feels real enough to make you want to throw your hat on the ground and stomp on it. But don’t do that neither, hats are expensive these days.
