Well now, let’s talk about this here… whatchamacallit… Manor Lords game. And this army thing, you know, the militia, the fighters. Folks keep askin’, “What happens if you send ’em home, those boys you got geared up for war?”

Listen here, it ain’t as simple as you might think. You send them boys off to fight, they ain’t farmin’ no more. They ain’t makin’ nothin’. They ain’t workin’ the land. So, when they come back, they gotta put their stuff away, back in their houses, you know, them burgage plots they call ’em. And if you need ’em again, well, they gotta get it all back out.
- Send ’em out, they stop workin’.
- Bring ’em back, they put stuff away.
- Need ’em again? Gotta get everything back out.
Now, some folks say there ain’t no reason to send them home. But that ain’t true. You gotta think about it. Them boys ain’t eatin’ dirt. They need food. And when they’re fightin’, they ain’t growin’ it. So, if there ain’t no fightin’ to be done, bring ’em on back. Let ’em get back to work. Gotta keep them bellies full, see?
But here’s the thing, you gotta be careful. If you got too many fightin’ fellas, and you send some home, you might not get ’em all back. The game, it’s got this… this limit. Six, they say. Six is all you can have if you go sendin’ too many home at once. And once that happens, that’s it. You’re stuck with six. No more. So, don’t go willy-nilly sendin’ everyone home. Think it through, like you would plantin’ crops.
And another thing, them fancy fighters, the ones you pay with coins? The mercenaries, they call ‘em. You can send them away too. But why would you, if you paid good money for them? I guess if you don’t need ‘em no more, send ‘em packing. Saves you some coin, right?
Now, some young’uns are worried about losing their stuff. Them swords and shields and such. If you send them boys home, do you lose all that? Nah, don’t worry your pretty little head about that. They bring it back. They keep it safe. Just gotta remember where they put it, that’s all. But you gotta be quick about gettin’ them back together, or the Baron, that greedy fella, he might snatch ‘em up. And then you’re outta luck, no more fighters for you.

And fightin’ ain’t everything you know. You gotta build up your town, get more folks livin’ there. That’s how you get more fighters, see? More houses, more people, more fighters. And you gotta be quick about it, faster than that Baron fella. He’s always tryin’ to get ahead, that one.
So, disbandin’ your army? It ain’t just a yes or no thing. It’s about thinkin’ ahead. It’s about farmin’ and fightin’ and keepin’ everyone fed. It’s about makin’ sure you got enough fighters, but not too many. And it’s about bein’ faster than that Baron. He’s the real trouble, you know.
And if you lose a fight, well, that’s just part of it. Don’t go cryin’ about it. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back to it. That’s what you gotta do. That’s life, ain’t it? You win some, you lose some. Just gotta keep on tryin’.
So, that’s the long and short of it. Sendin’ your army home, it’s got its ups and downs. Just gotta use your head, that’s all. And don’t let that Baron get the best of ya.
