Alright, so you wanna know about this Kalen DeBoer fella and his family, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know how to tell it. No fancy words or nothin’ like that.
Who’s this Kalen DeBoer anyway?
Folks say he’s a big-shot football coach, head coach over at the University of Alabama now. They say he’s real good at it, a real whiz kid or somethin’. He was born way back in 1974, October 24th to be exact, makes him around 50 years old, I reckon. Born and raised in a place called Milbank, South Dakota. Now, I ain’t never been to South Dakota, but I hear it’s cold up there. Probably colder than a well-digger’s butt in January.
What about his folks and all that?
That’s where it gets a bit murky, you see. Nobody really talks much about his folks, his mama and daddy. It’s kinda hush-hush, like they’re hidin’ somethin’. Or maybe they’re just private folks, not like these city people who blab everything on that there internet thingamajig. They don’t say much about his grandparents or nothin’ either. Just that he grew up in that Milbank place. Maybe they were farmers, like me. Or maybe they worked at the mill, who knows? It ain’t none of my business, I guess, but it does make ya wonder, don’t it?
He got a wife and kids?
Yep, he’s hitched. Got himself a wife named Nicole. They seem like a nice enough couple, from what I hear. And he’s got two girls, Alexis and Avery. Alexis, she’s a sporty one, plays softball for some high school in a place called Kirkland. Bellevue High School, I think they called it. Don’t know much about Avery, but I bet she’s a sweet girl, just like her mama and sister, probably. Kalen, he seems like a family man, always thankin’ them for their support and all. That’s important, you know, family. It’s what keeps ya grounded, keeps ya from gettin’ too big for your britches.
What else is there to say?
Well, he had a brother and sister, Casey DeBoer was his brother name. I don’t know what they do. They don’t say much about them either. Maybe they’re just regular folks, livin’ their lives, not wantin’ no attention. Can’t blame ’em for that. This world’s got too much noise as it is. Sometimes a little peace and quiet is all a person needs. Anyway, Kalen, he went through some tough times when he was a young’un, but he come out alright. Made somethin’ of himself, that’s for sure. Gotta admire a fella who can do that. Picked himself up by his bootstraps and made something of himself, just like we all should.
So, there ya have it. That’s about all I know about Kalen DeBoer and his family. He’s a football coach, a husband, a daddy, and a fella from South Dakota. Seems like a good enough fella, far as I can tell. But then again, I ain’t never met him, so what do I know? I’m just an old woman, tellin’ ya what I heard. Take it with a grain of salt, like my pappy used to say.
From what I hear he’s doin’ alright for himself. Coached some other places before landin’ that big job at Alabama. He seems like a hard worker and a smart fella. Hope he does good. It’s always nice to see someone from a small town make it big. Shows the rest of us that anything’s possible if you put your mind to it.
One last thing, you know. Family is important. It seems like Kalen DeBoer knows that, and that’s a good thing. It’s what keeps us going, what gives us strength when things get tough. So, here’s to Kalen DeBoer and his family. May they have a long and happy life together.
And that’s all she wrote, folks. Hope that answered your questions. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
