Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Tiger Woods fella. Folks keep jabberin’ on and on about him, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, ya know? Don’t expect no fancy talk, ’cause I ain’t got none of that. Just plain speakin’, like it is.
So, what’s the big deal with Tiger Woods these days? Well, seems like he ain’t been playin’ much golf lately. They say he had some kinda surgery on his back. Lordy, back problems are a pain, I tell ya! My old man used to have a bad back, couldn’t hardly bend over to pick up a potato. So, I reckon Tiger’s feelin’ it too.
This fella, he’s got this big golf tournament down in the Bahamas, the Hero World Challenge they call it. Fancy name, huh? But he ain’t playin’ in it this year. Just standin’ around, shakin’ hands, and talkin’ to folks. They say he’s the “host.” Guess that means he’s just watchin’ everyone else swing their sticks.

Now, some folks are wonderin’ if he’ll even play golf next year, in 2025. That’s a long ways off, if you ask me. Anything can happen between now and then. He might get better, or he might not. Who knows? It’s like plantin’ seeds in the spring – you never really know what’s gonna grow until it does.
They say he only played in a few tournaments this year, maybe five they said. That ain’t much, not for a fella who used to be swingin’ his club all over the place. I remember seein’ him on the TV a long time ago, always winnin’. He was a real firecracker, that one. But now, seems like he’s slowed down some. Old age catches up to everyone, I guess. Even them fancy golfers.
But don’t count him out just yet, I say! He’s a tough fella, that Tiger Woods. He’s been through a lot, and he always seems to bounce back. Maybe he’ll get that back fixed up and be back out there hittin’ the ball again. Or maybe he won’t. Like I said, who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see.
They had a big meetin’ with him down in the Bahamas, all the reporters and such. Ask him all sorts of questions. He talked for a good long while, half an hour they said. That’s a lot of talkin’, if you ask me. I bet he got tired of answerin’ all them questions. Reporters are always pesterin’ folks, just like them pesky crows in my cornfield.
Anyway, the long and short of it is this: Tiger Woods ain’t playin’ golf right now ’cause his back’s all messed up. He might play next year, he might not. Don’t hold your breath, but don’t give up hope either. That’s all I gotta say about it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
Some folks worry he won’t be playing much in 2025. And that might be right. The man’s been having a heck of a time with his back, and he ain’t getting any younger, is he? Thirteen starts in four years… that’s not a lot, even for an old fella like me going out to the garden. Maybe he’ll play a bit, maybe he won’t. Time will tell, I always say. Time will tell.
So there you have it. My take on this Tiger Woods situation. Not much to it, really. Just a man with a bad back, tryin’ to figure out what to do next. We all got our problems, ain’t we? His just happen to be on TV.
