Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Andy Bessette fella and the Olympics. You know, that big sports thingy they have on TV every now and then. Folks get all worked up about it, waving flags and such. Never really understood the fuss myself, but hey, to each their own, right?
So, this Andy guy, Andy Bessette, seems to be a big deal with them Olympics. I heard tell he’s all about sharin’ the road, whatever that means. Maybe he drives a bus for the athletes? Or maybe it’s one of them fancy sayings, like “Share the wealth” but for sporty folks. Beats me.
Now, I ain’t no sports expert, mind you. I prefer watchin’ the birds in the yard to seein’ folks runnin’ around chasin’ balls or jumpin’ over hurdles. But from what I gather, the Olympics got all sorts of things goin’ on. Football, they call it soccer over there, I guess. And all them other games, swimmin’ and jumpin’ and such. It’s a whole lot of huffin’ and puffin’ if you ask me.
- Runnin’
- Jumpin’
- Swimmin’
- Throwin’ things
I reckon Andy Bessette, he likes all that stuff. Maybe he even used to do it himself when he was younger. Can’t imagine myself doin’ any of it, though. My knees ain’t what they used to be, and I get winded just walkin’ to the mailbox.
But people seem to get excited about it. They wait and wait, and then it’s finally time for their favorite things to happen, it’s like waiting for the harvest, but with more cheering and less pie. And I guess that’s alright. It gives folks somethin’ to look forward to, somethin’ to talk about. And it keeps them youngsters busy, which is always a good thing.
Whether you are a sports enthusiast, as they call it, or just like them history stories, I figure there’s something in it for everyone. Me, I just like a good story. And I reckon the Olympics got plenty of those. Stories of folks tryin’ their best, workin’ hard, and sometimes even winnin’. And sometimes losin’, too. But that’s life, ain’t it?
Now, I heard tell that Andy Bessette wants to share the road, or the experience, or somethin’ like that. I guess he wants everyone to feel like they’re part of it, even if they ain’t runnin’ or jumpin’ or swimmin’. And that’s a good thing, I reckon. Because not all of us can be Olympians, but we can all enjoy a good story and cheer on them that are doin’ their best.
So, here’s to Andy Bessette and the Olympics, I hope them athletes have a good time, and I hope they don’t get hurt too bad. And I hope Andy gets to share his road with lots of folks and maybe explains what it all really means someday. I might tune in for a bit, maybe see some of that runnin’ and jumpin’. But don’t expect me to get all worked up about it. I’ll leave that to the young folks. I’ll stick to my birds and my garden. That’s excitin’ enough for me.
And you know, maybe this Andy fellow, maybe he just wants everyone to get along. Like folks on a road, you gotta share it, be respectful, and not run each other over. Seems like good advice for them Olympics, and for life in general, if you ask me.
So, there you have it. My take on Andy Bessette and the Olympics. Not much, I know. But it’s the truth, as I see it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
