Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Gorlock fella, Gorlock the Destroyer, they call him. Sounds like a real meanie, don’t he? Scary name, that is. I heard tell he’s some kinda big shot in them fantasy stories, the kind with magic and fightin’ and all that.
Now, I ain’t never seen no magic myself, ‘cept maybe that time old Bessie’s cow gave birth to twins, but they say this Gorlock, he’s got it in spades. Strong as an ox, too, they say. Could probably lift a whole barn, maybe even two! And mean? Don’t even get me started. They say he destroys things, just like his name says. Probably breaks stuff real good.
- He’s strong, real strong.
- He knows magic, the kind that blows things up.
- Folks are scared of him, heroes and bad guys both.
I reckon he weren’t always so bad, though. Everybody starts somewhere, even them destroyers. Maybe he was just a little tyke once, playin’ in the mud and gettin’ into mischief. But somethin’ musta happened, somethin’ that turned him all mean and powerful. Maybe he got bullied, or maybe he just woke up one day and decided he wanted to be the boss of everythin’. Who knows?
They got all these stories about him, I hear. Books and such. Folks like readin’ about scary stuff, I guess. Makes ’em feel better about their own lives, maybe. “At least I ain’t gotta deal with no Gorlock,” they probably say. And I reckon they’re right.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these fantasy fellas, but I know a thing or two about bein’ strong. Had to be, growin’ up on the farm. Had to haul hay, chop wood, and chase chickens all day long. But that’s just regular strong, not the kind of strong that lets you throw around mountains or nothin’. Gorlock, he’s somethin’ else entirely.
And the magic? Well, that’s just beyond me. I reckon it’s like cookin’, only instead of makin’ biscuits, you’re makin’ fireballs or somethin’. Sounds dangerous, if you ask me. I’d stick to biscuits, myself. At least you know what you’re gettin’ with a biscuit.
But this Gorlock fella, he’s got folks talkin’, that’s for sure. He’s a legend, they say. A big, scary legend. And legends, well, they stick around. They get told and retold, passed down from one generation to the next. So even if Gorlock ain’t real, he’s real in the stories. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it?
So, if you ever hear tell of Gorlock the Destroyer, you just remember what I told ya. He’s strong, he’s mean, and he’s got magic. And he ain’t nobody you wanna mess with. You best just stay outta his way and let him do his destroyin’ somewhere else. That’s my advice, anyway. Take it or leave it.
Anyways, that’s all I know about this Gorlock character. Just a bunch of stories, really. But sometimes, stories are enough. They give us somethin’ to think about, somethin’ to talk about. And in a world full of troubles, that ain’t a bad thing at all.
So there you have it, the lowdown on Gorlock the Destroyer, as best as I can tell it. He’s a big deal in them fantasy stories, and maybe even in some folks’ nightmares. He’s powerful, he’s scary, and he sure sounds like trouble.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. They’re probably gettin’ hungry, and I ain’t got time for no more destroyers today.
