It was a little different back then, but they hit it off, and here we are today, talkin’ about her like she’s a star in her own right.
In ’96, Amy and Phil tied the knot. Been goin’ strong ever since. They got three kids together too. First came Amanda Brynn Mickelson, born in ’99, just a day after Phil finished second in the US Open. Now that’s somethin’, ain’t it? Then came Sophia Brynn Mickelson in 2001, and their youngest, Evan, in 2003. Got a whole family there. Ain’t that sweet?
But, it ain’t all just happy times for Amy. She’s had her fair share of challenges. Back in 2009, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That’s right, at just 37 years old. But Amy, she’s tough as nails. She didn’t let that stop her. She went through treatment, fought the good fight, and today, she’s cancer-free. It’s real sad to hear about folks goin’ through such a thing, but Amy showed us all that you can keep goin’ even when life knocks you down.
And that ain’t all she’s done. Amy’s been a big help to Phil in his career. She’s traveled with him to tournaments, been his biggest cheerleader—probably more than any golf fan out there. Not only that, but her and Phil teamed up to co-found a nonprofit organization back in 2004. That’s right, a charity, to help others. She’s not one to just sit on her laurels; she’s out there doin’ good for the world.
Now, I know what you’re thinkin’. “How much money they got?” Well, let me tell ya, Phil Mickelson’s worth nearly a billion dollars in 2024. Yep, that’s right. A billion! But don’t think it’s all about the money for Amy. She’s been there for Phil through thick and thin, and that’s somethin’ money can’t buy.
